I say that the pervasive thought of thinking "to do this and that" arises beforehand. After thinking in this way, the action of the mind that causes the body to engage arises next, and that is called "karma of thought." The third is three verses beginning with "white karma and ripening." The black and white of ripening are the time of the cause, and the mind of motivation at that time is black and white. The black and white of karma are the differences between actions that appear virtuous and those that appear non-virtuous. The fourth is, furthermore, six verses and one phrase beginning with "karma has." Projecting karma is the primary result of ripening, and completing karma is the primary result of the agent's action, the similar cause, and the dominant result. Among these, the ripening results of virtue and non-virtue are definitely determined as the happy and unhappy realms, respectively. The other three results are not definitely determined. In the Ratnavali, it is said that the dominant result of the ten non-virtuous actions, etc., can also occur on the basis of happy realms. The happiness that occurs on the basis of unhappy realms is also because it is the result of virtue. The fifth is seven beginning with "furthermore." In the Compendium, it says, "What is the black karma that ripens into black? It is non-virtue. What is the white karma that ripens into white? It is the virtue of the three realms. What is the karma that ripens into black and white? It is mixed karma with desire and intense desire, that is, thought is black and action is white, or action is black and thought is white. What is the karma that is neither black nor white, does not ripen, and is exhausted? It is the uncontaminated karma of action and the uninterrupted path, etc." It is said. Here, the sutra says, "Pure white karma will lead to pure white. Pure black karma will lead to pure black. Mixed karma will also lead to mixed karma." It is said, so it is made into three types. The meaning of mixed karma is that either thought or action is white and the other is black. It will produce mixed karma of happiness and suffering. In the case of dividing into four above, thought is black and action is white, which is the cause of suffering, and action is black and thought is white, which is the cause of happiness.
