Listen as I explain the distinctions of the Sugata's (Buddha's) teachings. This is a general introduction. The second part is divided into two parts: the main text and refuting disputes about it. The first part is divided into three parts: explaining the practice of Pratimoksha, Bodhisattva, and Mantra vows. The first part is divided into three parts: the main subject to be expressed, the form of Pratimoksha; the nature of what is to be learned, the form of cause and effect; concluding with the unerring three, hearing, thinking, and meditating. The first part is divided into three parts: a general introduction from the perspective of distinctions; explaining the individual natures in detail; concluding from the perspective of instructions. The first part is the two lines beginning with "individually." The second part is divided into two parts: the Pratimoksha of the Hearers and the Pratimoksha of the Great Vehicle. The first part is divided into two parts: the form of the seven classes' time, and explaining the Upavasatha vows in detail. The first part is divided into two parts: generally showing the form, and refuting wrong ideas about the time. The first part is divided into two parts: making a vow and explaining the proof. The first part is: the two verses beginning with "of the Hearers." The first verse shows the vow of the Hearers' Pratimoksha, the seven classes giving up at the time of death, and then the two lines are, if that is the case, one might think there is no need to protect it, so it shows its necessity. Then the two show the distinction of the Vinaya Pitaka of the Great and Small Vehicles as a component of determining the vow. The second part is divided into two parts: the proof of the seven classes giving up at the time of death, and showing the distinction of the Vinaya Pitaka as its component. The first part is: the eleven lines beginning with "those." The Pratimoksha vows of the Hearer's school are mainly non-revealing form, and they consider revealing form and non-revealing form to be two. It is called the three non-revealing forms. Vow and the rest of the vow and other. Vow is called Pratimoksha. Likewise, born of undefiled Samadhi. And, immoral discipline is an unwholesome form, abandoning it is two kinds of discipline. It is said like that. The essence arises as the essence of the body and speech actions to be accomplished, and because it is form, it is considered to be abandoned at the time of death, because there is no basis. As it is said in the Treasury, giving up training and dying, and the simultaneous appearance of male and female organs, and wrong views cutting off roots of virtue, and when the night has passed, abandoning the Pratimoksha discipline.

It is said that: The Hearer's tradition, because it is the valid means of establishment. Among them, the first four are the offerings of the eight precepts, and the latter is the offering of the upavāsa alone. The second is the six, such as Bodhisattva, etc. The Bodhisattva's precepts are that the mind of protection has not diminished, or that the root downfall and other unfavorable aspects have not diminished, until the attainment of enlightenment, because the mind of aspiration arises from how one wishes. Even so, it is abandoned at the time of death. If it is thought that because it is form, there is no support at that time, it is unreasonable, because it is not form. The intention of all sutras and tantras is also the same, as it is said in the Adornment of the Qualities of the Pure Land: I do not rejoice in attaining enlightenment in a swift manner, and even until the very end, I will practice for the sake of one sentient being. And in the Tantra of the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel, it is said: I, so-and-so, from this time until the essence of enlightenment. And Bhuripa said: From today until enlightenment, without regard for body and life, I will abide in guarding the trainings like a protector, may the wisdom mind consider. And in the Bodhicaryāvatāra, it is said: Until the essence of enlightenment, I take refuge in the Buddhas, and likewise I take refuge in the Dharma and the assembly of Bodhisattvas. Thus it is said. Here, the vow that the Bodhisattva's precepts will not be abandoned at the time of death, and the reason for its establishment, these two arise because the previous proponent below considers that taking the seven vows of individual liberation until the end of life is stealing the mind of aspiration, which is the fault of not understanding the difference of the Vinaya Pitaka, because taking them until the end of life is the tradition of the Hearers, and taking them until the attainment of enlightenment is the tradition of the Bodhisattva's Vinaya Pitaka, in order to show this meaning, it is said below that there is no difference of the Vinaya Pitaka, and the meaning is the same. Without understanding this meaning, some say that the time for both Bodhisattva and individual liberation has come, and some say that Bodhisattva is only incidental, these statements are without the wisdom to understand the meaning of the scriptures. The second is divided into two:

This is the statement of the former and the refutation of it. The first part is two sentences, such as "Some people." The Drikungpas say, "The word 'as long as life' refers to both the body as long as it lives and the mind as long as it lives. Therefore, taking the seven classes of individual liberation vows until the end of life refers to the mind, and this is not a method of stealing the mind of enlightenment." They say that. The second part has three points: briefly stating it because there is no proof, explaining it in detail because there is harm, and concluding it by showing it as a place of blame. The first part is two sentences, such as "Like that." Taking the seven classes until enlightenment is not mentioned in the sutras and tantras of the Buddha, nor is it mentioned in the treatises of scholars such as the Six Ornaments and the Two Supremes, so it is unreasonable. The second part has two points: the actual reasoning of the harm, and the refutation of the answer to eliminate the harm. The first part is ten sentences, such as "If that is the case." If there is no difference in the vows of the Great and Small Vehicles in terms of time, then there is no difference in other aspects, and they are the same. If death and transmigration cannot be abandoned, then other things that should be abandoned are also the same and cannot be abandoned. The second part has two points: stating the reason for eliminating the harm, and refuting it. The first part is five sentences, such as "At that time." The second part has four points: other things that should be abandoned are also implicated, showing the harm to the desired result, showing the harm to the fundamental harm elimination, and the upavasatha vow is also implicated. The first part is: "Then the mind of enlightenment" and so on, five sentences. The second part is three sentences, such as "If that is the case." The third part is eleven sentences, such as "Even after death and transmigration." The Vinaya prohibits heavenly monks because the sutras say that non-human beings are not the field of vows. The prohibition of child monks is because, on the basis of karma, is it not that those under the age of twenty are not? The fourth part is: "Having the mind of enlightenment" and so on, six sentences. The third part is four sentences, such as "Therefore, separately." For those who say that the seven classes of individual liberation vows of the Hearers still exist even after death, this is to show the fault of not distinguishing the Vinaya Pitaka, because this is the occasion to prevent it. This is not only for individual liberation vows, the Venerable Tsemö said that the Bodhisattva vows are covered by the individual liberation vows, and that the vows are obtained only by relying on the confession of root downfalls and the ritual of empowerment.
