I think it is extremely wrong for both me and the previous two to think that the self-generation of the deity is explained from the realization of perfect accomplishment. Because, the body of the deity should be generated through this sequence. At the end of (this sentence), the method of accomplishing the front generation of the deity is explained, but because nowhere in the beginning and end of that method of accomplishment is it said that oneself is generated as the deity. Then, one might wonder, what is the meaning of the scripture quoted earlier? In the Kriya Tantra, it says: Do not think that the sequence of yoga for accomplishing the deity in front has not been explained, because the Blessed One did not explain it in most of the individual Kriya Tantras, but it is explained in the Vajrapani empowerment and so on. Then, one might wonder, is self-generation of the deity also explained in the Vajrapani empowerment and so on? The answer is that there is no fault, because this teacher believes that both Kriya and Charya should be combined with the practice of the Kriya Tantra, therefore he believes that there is no self-generation of the deity. If the meaning of the base of the words of the Later Samadhi cannot be used as a method for oneself to arise as a deity, then the two lines "The base of Vairochana's Abhisambodhi is" will also not explain oneself arising as a deity. To say this is without detailed examination. Then, (if you say this) it will become that the two bases are not explained in Vairochana's Abhisambodhi, because in the Later Samadhi it says "Focus on sound, mind, and base," and only one base is mentioned. The pervasion is admitted. Therefore, if the meaning of the base of the words of the Later Samadhi is explained as oneself arising as a deity, then its meaning cannot be explained as the front generation of the deity, because there is only one base. If you admit this, then the two lines "The second base of Vairochana's Abhisambodhi is" will not explain the front generation of the deity, and the pervasion is admitted. Then, one might wonder, this contradicts the explanation of the two bases in the commentary on the Later Samadhi. The answer is that because that teacher believes that both Kriya and Charya should be combined with the practice of the Charya Tantra, therefore he explained the single base of the Later Samadhi as the meaning of both bases of Vairochana's Abhisambodhi, so there is no fault. Therefore, also because the two bases are explained in Vairochana's Abhisambodhi, and only one base is mentioned in the Later Samadhi, it is established that there is no self-generation of the deity in the Kriya Tantra. This is what I alone have realized, so those who have faith in this system should cultivate joy. May the bliss of seeing be used as the path.

If one wishes to cultivate the bliss of contemplation by contemplating the pride of that deity, that is not understanding the meaning. Because abiding as an ordinary self, contemplating the deity in front, one can draw forth the bliss of contemplation. Fifth, in this way, combining the practice of the upper tantras with the deity of the Kriya Tantra, and combining the practice described in the four great general Kriya Tantras, in these two cases, in the first case, if one combines the practice of the Charya Tantra, then there is self-generation of the deity; if one combines the practice of the Yoga Tantra, then there is also the invocation of the wisdom being; if one combines the practice of the Anuttara Tantra, then there are also the two stages. But by these alone, it cannot be established that the Kriya Tantra itself has self-generation of the deity. For example, when one combines the conduct of a Bodhisattva described in the treatises of the Mind-Only school with the view of the Middle Way and practices it, it cannot be established that the Mind-Only school itself has the view of the Middle Way. The second case is that there is absolutely no self-generation of the deity, etc. Because the general four tantras and the individual tantras do not speak of self-generation of the deity, and the upper tantras explicitly state that there is no self-generation of the deity. These key points are due to the kindness of the incomparable Lord Lama that I am able to speak truthfully. Second, the meaning of the text is: In the Kriya Tantra, etc., there are twenty-two sentences in total. If one does it that way, that is, if there is self-generation of the deity, then there is no fasting, etc. If one wants to do fasting, then it is that oneself is an ordinary person, etc. The remaining texts show the code of conduct related to the Kriya Tantra described in the *Mahabala* and *Subahu*. Second, *Charya* and *Yoga*, etc., there are thirteen sentences in total. In those two tantras, for the accomplishment of certain activities, there are explanations about cleanliness. As it says in the *Vajrapani Abhisheka Tantra*: 'He does not seek food, but looks at Vajrapani, and recites it three times, then he will obtain kingship.' And in the *Vajrapani Underground Tantra*: 'One should offer the three white things to Bhagavan Vajrapani and the Yakshas. Wine should be completely abandoned. Meat should be offered appropriately and auspiciously.' In the *Establishment Tantra*: 'These remaining Sugatas will purify sins.'
