I, if explained according to the post-suffix, it is because Paṇḍita Smṛti Jñāna is combined with the classification of the five wisdoms. If one abides in mundane deities, there is no asceticism or cleanliness. Combining what is to be purified, what purifies, and purification is a characteristic of Mahāyoga, therefore, the Yoga Tantras and beyond, etc. Secondly, there are six, starting with "Mahāyoga." From the Mahāyoga Tantra, because mundane appearances are not as they seem. By the distinction of being skilled in the means of the generation stage, when impure appearances that are to be purified are transformed into the five wisdoms that purify, the Victorious Ones have spoken of the distinctions of the hundred noble families and hundreds of thousands, etc. As stated in the *Moon Secret Bindu*: "Families are shown to be a hundredfold, if summarized in the Sutras, they are fivefold. By combining body, speech, and mind, they will also transform into three." And as stated in the *Hevajra*: "From elaborately distinguishing, families are said to be sixfold. The three are also fivefold." And: "In the collection of families, there are many families. Among these families, there are a hundred kinds of families. Among these, there are also hundreds of thousands of great families. In millions of families, the number becomes countless." Among these, regarding the hundred noble families, the view of *Hevajra* is: each of the five elements to be purified has five afflictions residing in them, therefore there are twenty-five. If each of these is distinguished by internal absorption, there are four great essences, totaling one hundred. If combined with the path that purifies, the hundred families of the generation stage are: each of the five families is distinguished by the five manifest enlightenment wisdoms, therefore there are twenty-five. Each has four surrounding consorts, therefore there are one hundred. The hundred families of the completion stage are: if combined with bindu here, even a single subtle bindu has the five elements. Each is distinguished by the four essences, therefore there are twenty. Each bindu as a basis also has the five wisdoms as symbols, therefore there are one hundred. The hundred noble families of the result are: each of the five families of emanations is distinguished by the five wisdoms, therefore there are twenty-five. They are limitless, or have four goddesses, therefore there are one hundred. The view of the *Guhyasamāja* is, from the *Practice Collection*: The five Tathāgata families or four mothers, Kṣitigarbha, Vajrapāṇi, Ākāśagarbha, Avalokiteśvara,

Eliminating obstacles and the like are the five, namely the five goddesses such as Color Vajra Mother. Dividing each of the nineteen into five families results in ninety-five, and adding the five wisdoms makes one hundred. The Nyingma school considers the forty-two peaceful deities and the fifty-eight wrathful deities to be the root one hundred families. Third, therefore, the one verse beginning with "conventional" states that the lower three tantras do not meditate on conventional truth as a deity, and although the unsurpassable tantra does meditate on conventional truth as a deity, this is a difference in method, not a difference in view. Therefore, because they do not distinguish between the reversal of conventional appearance and meditation as a deity, the ancient translation secret mantra schools meditate on all the conventional truths of the four tantras as real, and confuse them with the view. Therefore, the reason for considering the order of their good and bad as the order of good and bad views lies in this. The third part has four points: stating the tenets of the early translation school, stating the tenets of the later translation school, establishing the reasonableness of the later translation school's tenets, and thereby establishing the unreasonableness of the early translation school's tenets. The first point, the six sentences beginning with "ancient translation secret mantra," states that the early translation schools say that yoga, mahayoga, anuyoga, and atiyoga are the four stages of the vehicle, and consider atiyoga to be the best because it is the pinnacle of the nine vehicles. The second point, the five sentences beginning with "later translation secret mantra," states that the order of these four yogas is also different from the former, and their essence is also the stages of generation stage and completion stage samadhi, not the stages of the tantras. As it says in the seventeenth chapter of the Black Enemy Tantra: "Perfect Vajrasattva is, thus it is considered yoga. His homogeneous divine body, is known as anuyoga. All wheels completely perfected, is known as atiyoga. Body, speech, and mind, and the blessings of the gods' eyes and so on, and establishing the wheel of wisdom, and enjoying nectar and so on, and great offerings and praises, are called mahayoga." Also, as it says in the Shri Paramadya commentary: "Therein, by meditating on the five aspects of suchness, the yoga of meditating on oneself as the nature of one's own deity.
