Because immediately after the end of entering the nine successive absorptions in accordance with the proper order, one cannot enter into absorption in reverse order by propagating other dharmas without disturbing the peak of existence. It is not the same as the application of the lion's leap, because there is entering into absorption in a non-conforming manner, but there is no propagation of other dharmas. So, it follows that those two individuals cannot manifest desire immediately after the end of the cessation of coming back. If it is said that those two individuals cannot enter into absorption in a non-conforming manner by propagating other dharmas without disturbing the peak of existence, there is no fault, because they have not promised to disturb the peak of existence for the sake of manifesting desire, and even if they have promised to disturb the peak of existence for the sake of both propagating other dharmas and entering into absorption in a non-conforming manner, at that time the disturbance has already preceded. Fourth, the number of places in the great leap forward of the main practice is determined. Definition. The necessity of entering into absorption. Explaining the intention of propagating the Dharma, and four others. The first has two aspects: refutation and establishment. The first is: When the great abbot is in the stage of the great leap forward of the main practice, there are two types: conforming and non-conforming. In the case of non-conforming, since it is not necessary to propagate the intention of cessation, there are sixteen places because each intention is propagated from the peak of existence to the first dhyana. In the case of conforming, since it is not necessary to propagate the intention in the first dhyana, there are fourteen places because each cessation is propagated from the second dhyana to the peak of existence. Then, by entering into absorption in cessation, it is determined to be thirty-one. This is the view of both the sutras and the root texts of the treatises, as well as the two commentaries. In the root text, it says: "It goes differently until cessation." In the commentary, it says: "Having abandoned one and so on, up to the fourth dhyana and the four formless realms, and the absorption of cessation," because it also shows entering into absorption in accordance with the proper order. In the case of non-conforming, it is not necessary to propagate the intention of cessation, because it is said below to abandon the only cessation. In the case of conforming, it is not necessary to propagate the intention in the first dhyana, because it has just been propagated. If, having abandoned one and so on, it is said

If it is said to be a summary of meaning, then it will become different up to cessation. Saying that is also a summary of meaning. If you admit it, then you must say which scripture's meaning it is a summary of, so it is said. That is unreasonable, in the Great Commentary it says: Similarly, having abandoned between the eight, to the first dhyana. Then to non-equal abiding, like that having abandoned one etc., because it clearly explains the summary of meaning. Similarly, because it is said having abandoned between the eight, in the case of reversal, it is also not necessary to increase desire from the peak of existence to the second dhyana, that is too much. Furthermore, if all aspects are combined into one aspect, then are these one hundred and seventy-three aspects a summary of the meaning of aspects or not? If so, then starting from the aspect of non-existence, etc., it will become a summary of the meaning of those three scriptures. If you admit it, then it is appropriate to say which scripture's meaning it is a summary of. According to the second view, it is too extreme. The second view has two aspects, refutation and establishment. The first is: Some scholars say that having first performed the main practice of intermediate breakthrough, then starting from the peak of existence, increasing eight desires for the eight samadhis of the extreme state between the first dhyana, and thus entering into the one-pointed virtuous mind of samadhi, this is unreasonable. Because cessation is explicitly stated as the basis for increase in this case, but that is incomplete. And, in the aspect of definition, the one-pointed virtuous mind also does not encompass the desire for the object of increase. The second is, after the desire for demarcation, increasing one desire for each of the nine samadhis, and thus obtaining the realization following the Mahayana in the state of entering in reverse order. The third has two aspects, the general need for meditation, and the specific need for meditation after increasing desire. The first is, as previously explained, it is for the sake of obtaining mastery over the latter of the three categories. The second is, it is for the sake of obtaining mastery over all types of samadhi. To this, some say that increasing desire for the sake of obtaining mastery over all types of samadhi is not established. Because it is unreasonable to manifest a non-equal abiding mind for the sake of obtaining mastery over equanimity. Because it is unreasonable to manifest wrong view for the sake of obtaining mastery over the correct view, they say.
