Because it contradicts what is said to be pervasive by being an entry. Regarding the meaning of impermanence, there are six entering consciousnesses in the desire realm, four in the form realm excluding nose and tongue consciousnesses, and the cessation of mind consciousness in the formless realm. Bodhisattvas below the seventh ground and Hearer Vehicle practitioners also cease some of the afflictive minds among those stable ones. In the commentary on the 'Explanation of the Five Aggregates of Intelligence and Stability,' it says that those who enter cessation, the entering consciousnesses are six, four, and one, respectively in the desire, form, and formless realms. Therefore, some argue that it is unreasonable to say that cessation samadhi ceases the entering consciousnesses along with their retinue, because Buddhas and noble beings who are abiding in cessation have non-conceptual wisdom in their continuum. If it is asserted that Buddhas and noble beings do not have cessation samadhi in their continuum, then in the 'Definitive Collection,' it says, 'Those who have entering consciousness but do not have the alaya consciousness are Arhats, Pratyekabuddhas, non-returning Bodhisattvas, and Tathagatas when they are in a state of mind. Those who do not have both are Arhats, Pratyekabuddhas, non-returning Bodhisattvas, and Tathagatas who are in cessation samadhi, and in the realm of nirvana without remainder.' This contradicts the above statement, they say. This is unreasonable, because the meaning of that text is only that it appears to be abiding in another's view, which has already been said before. Otherwise, it contradicts the statement that there is non-conceptual wisdom at that time, because it is said that there is no entering consciousness at that time. There are other faults as well. If it is the samadhi of non-perception, then it does not pervade the cessation of mind consciousness. If it is cessation samadhi, then it does not pervade the cessation of mind consciousness. It is not possible to pervade and not possible to admit, because in the 'Thirty Verses,' it says, 'The arising of mind consciousness is only in non-perception and the two samadhis, unconscious sleep and fainting, except for these there is none.' Furthermore, there is a difference in what is to be abandoned other than afflictive mind between the samadhi of non-perception and the samadhi of cessation.

Because there is a difference in the two regarding the blocking and non-blocking of the mind consciousness. It is not possible to agree, because in the Compendium of Determinations it says, "Here, the absorption of non-perception is distinguished by the afflicted mind, but it is not the absorption of cessation. Otherwise, these two would become indistinguishable." Because it is said. The continuum of the three, Arhat, Solitary Realizer, and Non-Returning Bodhisattva, does not have the Alaya consciousness, because it is said, "One who does not possess both is an Arhat," and so on. The pervasion is admitted. It is not possible to agree, because it is a sentient being. If so, then what is the meaning of that scripture? If it is thought that the Alaya has two aspects, the aspect of fruition and the aspect of seed, then it refers to the aspect of the Alaya seed that is the object of the afflicted mind. It is unreasonable to say that the two, the absorption of non-perception and the absorption of cessation, are spoken of together in the distinction of actions, because the basis of cessation and consciousness is the same. The sign is established. If it is non-conceptual wisdom, then it is not pervaded by non-cessation, because the continuum of Shakyamuni has cessation that has become non-conceptual wisdom. It is not possible to agree, because in the Compendium of Determinations it says, "Among them, abandoning the five aspects is called the nature of non-conceptuality, that is, completely abandoning non-attention, completely abandoning the ground with conceptuality and with analysis, completely abandoning the pacification of perception and feeling, completely abandoning the nature of form, and completely abandoning grasping only its meaning, therefore, it should be known that non-conceptual wisdom is completely abandoning these five aspects." The monk Vasubandhu admitted that there is subtle mind consciousness in the case of cessation, which should not be refuted by the Mind-Only school, because the Mind-Only school also admits it. It is not possible to agree, because in Vasubandhu's Karma Siddhi, when refuting the views of Vasumitra, because the logicians did not understand the meaning of the scriptures as they are, in refuting the cases of cessation and so on, the mind of the mind consciousness and
