Regarding the uninterrupted yoga, there are three points: how it is taught in the sutras, how it is taught in the treatises, and the necessity of teaching it in this way. Firstly, in the sutras, by using the example of placing all beings of the three thousand great thousand worlds in the faultless state of hearers, solitary realizers, and bodhisattvas, it is directly shown that the omniscient wisdom surpasses the merit of these, and this is to teach the uninterrupted yoga in a hidden way. Secondly, the example itself and the hidden meaning of uninterrupted yoga are combined to show that it surpasses the merit of these, as stated in "Beings of the three thousand worlds, hearers, etc." The sutras directly show that the omniscient wisdom has great merit, so it can indirectly imply that the uninterrupted yoga has great merit. Because the direct result, the omniscient wisdom, is directly shown to have great merit, the direct cause, the uninterrupted yoga, can be indirectly implied to have great merit. Because the meaning of uninterrupted is that when generating its own direct result, the omniscient wisdom, it is not interrupted by other dharmas. As stated in "That is the all-aspect wisdom." Thirdly, there are two necessities. Firstly, during the accumulation of merit, just as the ninth ground and below are taught through the method of purifying everything, and the tenth ground is taught through the method of result, if the yoga of the path of seeing and meditation is taught from the perspective of the antidote, some disciples will become discouraged. Therefore, in order to eliminate this discouragement and generate joy, the uninterrupted yoga is taught from the perspective of benefit. Secondly, in general, there are two types of enlightenment in the Great Vehicle: the enlightenment of directly seeing all the dharmata of self-nature purity, and the enlightenment of directly seeing all the dharmata of freedom from adventitious stains. The first exists from the path of seeing in the Great Vehicle, as stated in places like "Without stain, exhaustion, and non-arising." The latter exists only in the Buddha-ground, such as the omniscient wisdom in "That is the all-aspect wisdom." There are also two scriptures that show that the direct cause of these two is great merit. The first is like "By the power of great merit" and "The cause of obtaining that uninterrupted, is the characteristic of great merit." The latter is this very treatise, "By the power of great merit."

Because (it is) said (in the sutra): 'There is no interval with the Buddha himself.' The necessity of showing these two real causes (for attaining enlightenment) from the opposite of many merits is also to generate joy in the real result itself. In short, since omniscience is directly shown to be many merits, the three, such as object and condition, are also combined with omniscience. In short, (it is) said (in the sutra): 'Omniscience itself, the condition of the object of this is the absence of entity, the master is mindfulness, and the aspect is peaceful, that is, without characteristics.' Therefore, by its power, what is to be refuted and wrong views are also combined with the object aspect of omniscience. The intention of the root treatise is also that, although the uninterrupted yoga and the peak yoga are directly shown to be many merits, these objects, conditions, etc. seem to be combined with omniscience. Because (it is) said (in the sutra): 'That is omniscience itself, the object of this is unreal.' And 'Omniscience has a basis and is considered to be sixteen.' The intention of appearance also seems to be like this, because (it is) said (in the sutra): 'Therefore, the wrong understanding of the rationality of the object that depends on omniscience itself is this.' The teacher (Asanga) combines the object, condition, etc. of (uninterrupted yoga and peak yoga), because (it is) said (in the sutra): 'The condition of the object of this uninterrupted samadhi is that all phenomena are unreal.' Therefore, combining with the object, condition, etc. of omniscience is also established in meaning, because above, when explaining the object of Mahayana practice, all phenomena, including conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, etc., have been explained, and here only the absence of entity is explained as the object. Then, doesn't omniscience also perceive all phenomena? Why is it said that the object of omniscience is unreal? Because omniscience realizes that all phenomena are of one taste in the realm of phenomena, therefore, as for itself, there is nothing other than the freedom from elaboration of the realm of phenomena. And the practice of Mahayana must cut off the superimposition on various phenomena. In the opening of the treasure of hidden profound meaning, the connection and difficult points of the fifth chapter have been well explained. Regarding the gradual yoga, the reason for explaining the gradual after the peak yoga is:
