Even if it is the Dharma of purification such as the lower path, it is still clinging to the object to be abandoned by focusing on it. Among them, there are two kinds of apprehended conceptualizations, one is the basis of the category to be abandoned by the Pratyekabuddha path, and the other is the basis of the category to be abandoned by the Bodhisattva path. The first is to focus on the Dharma of all afflictions such as ignorance, and to cling to the object to be abandoned. Because in the third path, it is said that "there is no all afflictions", so the wisdom that realizes that the object of all afflictions is without self-nature is said to be the realization of the Pratyekabuddha path. The second is to cling to the Hinayana path and its fruit as the object to be eliminated. Because Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas do not have such clinging, but Bodhisattvas have such clinging. Thus, among the two, the latter is what is shown here by the reversed apprehended conceptualization. Second, the meaning of the conceptualization based on its antidote is to cling to the Dharma of purification as the object to be taken. Among them, there are two kinds of clinging to the Dharma of purification of Hinayana, and clinging to the Dharma of purification of Mahayana. The former is the apprehended conceptualization that belongs to the category to be abandoned by the Pratyekabuddha path, because in the aspect of the third path, it is said that "there is no purification", and because its object to be abandoned is the apprehended conceptualization that clings to purification. The latter is the apprehended conceptualization that belongs to the category to be abandoned by the Bodhisattva path, because it exists in the continuum of the Bodhisattva, but not in the continuum of the Hinayana. Thus, among the two, in the first case, the two are not separated, but it is called "its antidote base", which is the general grasping of the two, and only the latter is shown here as the entering apprehended conceptualization. The entering apprehended conceptualization is divided into nine kinds from the perspective of the object, namely "self-nature and lineage, etc." and so on, two verses. The reversed apprehended conceptualization is divided into nine kinds from the perspective of the object, namely "because of falling into existence and peace" and so on, three verses. There are two kinds of grasping conceptualizations, namely the substantial grasping conceptualization, which is the grasping of truth. Among them, there are two kinds of substantial grasping conceptualizations, one established from the perspective of the person, and the other established from the perspective of the Dharma (things). The former is of the Sravakas, and the latter

It has already been said that this is a type of abandonment for the Mahayana. Initially, these two were not distinguished, and it was called "having a basis of substance." In this case, in the brief explanation, the former is directly indicated, namely: It is considered that sentient beings have substance and are those who hold onto conceptual thoughts. This is because it is said so. In the detailed explanation, the latter is directly indicated, because it is said that its object is divided into nine dharmas such as grasping and abandoning. Secondly, imputation-grasping conceptual thought is a non-common abandonment of Bodhisattvas, because the Hinayana cannot abandon the fault of clinging to the mere appearance of imputation on the object. It also has imputation-grasping conceptual thought established from the perspective of individuals, and imputation-grasping conceptual thought established from the perspective of dharmas. Initially, these two were not distinguished, and it was called "having a basis of imputation." In this case, in the brief explanation, the former is directly indicated, and in the detailed explanation, the manner in which the latter is directly indicated is the same as before. Thus, the nature of the two grasping conceptual thoughts, and if classified, there are nine types. Briefly showing it is: "The distinction between ordinary beings and noble ones." And so on, two verses. Dividing the substance-grasping conceptual thought into nine from the perspective of the object is: "Grasping and abandoning." And so on, two verses. Dividing the imputation-grasping conceptual thought into nine from the perspective of the object is: "Intentionally, definitely not arising." And so on, two verses. Here, in the brief explanation, "The distinction between ordinary beings and noble ones," regarding the meaning of separately explaining the two grasping conceptual thoughts on ordinary beings and noble ones, some literally interpret that substance-grasping conceptual thought and imputation-grasping conceptual thought are definitely separate on ordinary beings and noble ones; some believe that this treatise only clearly points out the characteristics of the established subject, and does not explicitly indicate that they are definitely separate on ordinary beings and noble ones; others believe that it clearly indicates that the two objects, substance-grasping and imputation-grasping, are definitely separate, but does not explicitly indicate that the two subjects, substance-grasping conceptual thought and imputation-grasping conceptual thought, are definitely separate. These are not the intention of the treatise, and have been explained elsewhere. So what is it? "The distinction between ordinary beings and noble ones, sentient beings have substance and imputation," this treatise directly indicates that substance-grasping conceptual thought only exists in the continuum of ordinary beings, because that is the individual.
