The practice is through signs and increase, etc. The uninterrupted yoga is because it is taught from the aspect of many merits. The peak yoga of the path of cultivation does not abandon the manifest afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation, because even after its completion, manifest conceptual thoughts to be abandoned by cultivation may still arise. Therefore, the four conceptual thoughts of grasping and being grasped that are actually taught in the first instance are also to be abandoned on the path of seeing, because there, grasping conceptual thought is divided into two: what should be abandoned and what should be taken; and the conceptual thought of being grasped is divided into two: conceptual thought of grasping substance and conceptual thought of grasping imputation. And these are said here to be abandoned on the path of seeing. It is unreasonable to assert that the afflictions to be abandoned by the uninterrupted peak yoga are different from those to be abandoned by the peak yoga of the path of cultivation, because the aspect of abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned by it is taught during the peak yoga of the path of cultivation, and in its own case, it is taught from the aspect of many merits. Therefore, in our own system, the peak yoga can generally be determined as three: the peak yoga of the path of joining, the peak yoga of the path of seeing, and the peak yoga of the path of cultivation, because the lower limit of the peak yoga is from the path of joining of a Bodhisattva to the upper limit of the continuous edge. However, there is a need to divide it into four, including the uninterrupted peak yoga, because when teaching the antidote to the one hundred and eight conceptual thoughts of grasping and being grasped, which are to be abandoned by the peak yoga of the path of seeing and the path of cultivation, some dull-witted Bodhisattvas may become discouraged, so in order to praise this discouragement, the uninterrupted peak yoga itself is taught from the aspect of qualities. Among these four, the peak yoga of the path of joining is taught from the aspect of signs, etc., as in the four verses beginning with "Even in dreams, all phenomena..." In the root text, only signs, increase, stability, and abiding in all minds are mentioned, but the two noble lions consider that since the previously mentioned peak yoga of the path of seeing has already been established on the path of joining, and it is divided into four, including signs, it is therefore the nature of the four of the path of joining. In the "Two Manifestations," it says: "Those such as signs, etc., should be known to have the characteristic of the nature of the four that correspond to the parts that definitely distinguish warmth, etc., in the order as it is." And in the "Small Commentary," it also says similarly.

For the sake of attainment. In the "Difficulty Commentary," it says, "The signs of attaining the peak practice, and the increase of merit of the peak practice, and the stability of the peak practice, and the mind of the peak practice abiding constantly," because that is the meaning, so all four are also obtained from the heat of the bodhisattva's path of application, not the four such as heat, and gradual practice is not the fundamental intention. Although it is said like this, it is in accordance with "The uninterrupted cause of obtaining it is the nature of many merits," the mind abiding constantly is established as the actual cause of the path of seeing, because "With the nature of many merits, the samadhi is completely proclaimed." By its power, the first three are established as practicing in the first three of the path of application, so the views of the two, the holy lion, appear to be the fundamental intention. After that, the peak practice of the path of seeing is in the "Body Differentiation Treatise," "Seeing is called and meditating is called, the paths to be done are separate, the four kinds of distinctions, the four kinds of antidotes and," thus it is taught from the aspect of negating the antidotes of the four kinds of distinctions of what is to be abandoned and what is to be grasped in seeing, so, in determining it here, it is necessary to identify the distinctions of what is to be abandoned and what is to be grasped, and to identify the two, the antidote, the peak practice of the path of seeing. Among them, the first has two kinds, the grasper distinction and the grasped distinction. The first has two kinds, the entering grasper distinction and the returning grasper distinction, divided into nine kinds from the perspective of the object, and briefly explained, that is, "On entering and returning," etc., one verse. The third of the "Hundred Thousand Verses" says that these two are considered to be the pure grasped distinctions shown in the first chapter, they think that because the object of those two is the path and fruit combined of the bodhisattva and the path and fruit combined of the lesser vehicle, it is a pure dharma. That is unreasonable, because the pure grasped distinction shown in the first chapter is the mind that clings to its own object as something to be taken, while the returning grasped distinction is the mind that clings to its own object as something to be rejected. The key meaning is this, in the first chapter, the terms of the basis of the grasped distinction and its antidote basis are actually explained, and the meaning of the grasped distinction of the basis is also its own object, that is, ignorance and all the afflictive dharmas, and
