Therefore, the reason for needing to teach in this way is that, in this context, the teaching of the path of meditation that possesses the reasoning of the non-regression of the practitioner of the path of meditation, and the conduct of body and speech in the post-meditation state, is the meaning of the present moment. For this, not only is it necessary to precede it with the samadhi of the great vehicle's joining and seeing, but also one samadhi of the great vehicle's path of meditation must precede it. Because the reasoning of the non-regression of the practitioner of the path of meditation refers to the special conduct of body and speech in the post-meditation state, which is free from exaggeration and detraction, brought about by the continuous habituation of having directly seen the profound in samadhi. If such a path of meditation is divided, there are nine, such as the smallest of the small, because for the samadhi of the great vehicle's path of meditation, there are nine paths, such as the smallest of the small, as antidotes to the nine great defilements, such as the greatest of the great. Universally, because after each samadhi of the great vehicle's path of meditation, there continuously arises each post-meditation wisdom that thinks, measures, and distinguishes the profound meaning that has been directly realized in samadhi. In appearance, how is it that abiding on the path of meditation itself is an object? Because it is continuous. Because the latter is the object of the latter, and the former is the object of the former, there is no fault. The path of meditation taught here also requires the four parts of ascertainment and the two, seeing and meditation, as prerequisites, which are also briefly accomplished in that way, and in that way, definitely realized, and in that way, closely realized, and in that way, diligent, and in that way, combined, and in that way, the six words called effort are spoken. The second part includes refuting the argument of exaggeration and refuting the argument of defamation. The first part is divided into two parts: refuting the argument that leads to not generating immeasurable merit, etc., and refuting the argument that leads to not doing the work of abandoning, antidote, decline, and increase. The first part includes the object of the argument, the argument of exaggeration on that object, and the way of being free from exaggeration after refuting that. The first aspect is: for the literal meaning of words such as "profound emptiness." The second aspect is: "Immeasurable, etc., the teachings," these two verses say that the result of the great vehicle's path of meditation is immeasurable merit.

Etc., it does not produce. Because in the ultimate sense, it does not produce, because in the ultimate sense, it is the nature of profound emptiness. Therefore, the path of meditation produces fruits, immeasurable merits, etc., so it is established that it produces in the ultimate sense. Because it is established, it is established that the path of meditation exists in the ultimate sense. This is the argument of imputation. The third is: In the conventional, it is compassionate. Etc., two lines. The Mahayana path of meditation, the Dharma, although in the ultimate sense it is the nature of profound emptiness, in the conventional sense it is not contradictory to produce fruits, immeasurable and boundless merits, etc., because in the conventional sense you produce the Tathagata, and immeasurable and boundless merits, etc., are the fruits of the same cause of the Tathagata's compassion. Therefore, the fruits of the Mahayana path of meditation, immeasurable merits, etc., are established to be produced, so the Mahayana path of meditation does not establish that it exists in the ultimate sense, this is the way to be liberated from imputation. The second also has three points as before, the first is the object of the dispute: profound emptiness, etc. It is said that the nature of the path of meditation is emptiness in the ultimate sense, and small, medium, and large, etc. It is said that as an antidote to the nine things to be abandoned, the number of nine paths of meditation is determined. The second is: things cannot be said. Etc., one verse. The Mahayana path of meditation, the Dharma, does not do the work of cutting off, proving, diminishing, and increasing, because in the ultimate sense it is the nature of emptiness, pervasive. If things that are truly established cannot be said, then it is not possible to do the work of cutting off, proving, diminishing, and increasing. Therefore, the reason why the Mahayana path of meditation does the work of cutting off, proving, diminishing, and increasing is that it is truly established. This is the argument of imputation. The third is: How is enlightenment like this. Etc., one verse. Among them, enlightenment is such a nature, how is enlightenment like this. Shown by metaphor. It is also established as its nature. This is the meaning of accomplishing what is desired. Shown by meaning. Although the Mahayana path of meditation is the nature of profound emptiness in the ultimate sense, in the conventional sense it does the work of cutting off, proving, diminishing
