If it is said that this contradicts "merely" and "manifoldness." If so, since the understanding of its meaning is partial, it has been explained that only the non-self of the aggregates of appropriation is understood, and not all Dharma non-self is understood. Why look for faults? If the path of seeing of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers realizes the unborn, then the wisdom that realizes the sixteen aspects such as impermanence is said in both the Sutras and Treatises to be the type of realization of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers. If you think this contradicts, that is not the way of seeing the object of equipoise, but rather the category of ascertainment by subsequent attainment. As the teacher said, "Merely having an object, one can realize different fruits such as the first fruit." Therefore, if you think this is also the category of equipoise, it is not so. Because the meaning of having an object is having attachment, and there is no manifest attachment in the path of seeing and meditation of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers in equipoise. Otherwise, there would be different types of realization in the path of seeing and meditation of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers in equipoise, because this is a treatise that shows different types of realization such as the first fruit. If you admit, in the Ornament for Clear Realization, the reason for explaining the path of meditation of the Hearers with the example of sesame is that there are no different types of realization in the path of seeing and meditation, but there are different abilities, why does this not contradict? If you think it is the same for you, it is not the same. Because here it is the category of ascertainment by subsequent attainment, and some of the ascertainments led by equipoise are manifestly attached to impermanence, and some are manifestly attached to suffering, etc., therefore the types are different. For the Great Vehicle, it is not the same, because all the ascertainments led by equipoise by its own power have the aspect of being free from elaboration, therefore the types are the same. Fifth, some scholars who do not understand this system regard the recognition of Dharma non-self as one, and claim that in the system of Nagarjuna, the Hearers and Solitary Realizers can realize it, while in the system of Maitreya, the Hearers and Solitary Realizers cannot realize it, thus becoming a slander against one of them. Some scholars claim that in both systems, the Hearers and Solitary Realizers cannot realize the non-self of the aggregates, so when applying the treatises of Nagarjuna, it must be entirely a distortion. Tsongkhapa believes that both the Great and Small Vehicles equally realize the reality of all phenomena, therefore

To think that there is no difference in views is tantamount to slandering the Mahayana's views and practices as being like the sky. Moreover, it also contradicts what is said in the treatises of the father and sons (Asanga and Vasubandhu), regarding the difference between the complete and extensive realization of the selflessness of phenomena. The answer to this is, if it is said that the selflessness of phenomena to be realized is the same, but there is a difference in realization through extensive and concise reasoning, this would lead to the reversal of the sharpness and dullness of the faculties of the Great and Small Vehicles. If one explains it in terms of the magnitude of the power to eliminate obscurations, then the clinging to truth to be eliminated is the same, the Hearers can eliminate it in three lifetimes through rapid diligence, while the Bodhisattvas cannot eliminate it even after countless eons, how can this not be contradictory? Even if one has not realized the selflessness of the aggregates, the direct realization of the selflessness of the person included in the sixteen aspects such as impermanence is present in all three vehicles. If one does not understand that this is the tenet of the two Hearer schools, and still thinks that there is such a person in the Prasangika school, and thinks that although he has eliminated the manifest afflictions that arise in the three realms, he has not eliminated the seeds of afflictions, and then applies the sentence from the Bodhicaryavatara, "The root of the doctrine is the Sangha, and the Sangha itself is difficult to abide," to explain this situation, these are not words that can be heard in front of the wise. There are countless such errors, but they have also been mentioned slightly in "Moonbeams of the Essence of the Supreme Vehicle," and the details should be understood from the oral teachings. Secondly, regarding the basis consciousness that transforms into the reasoning of Hinayana realization in this context, there are three points: the combination of causes, the path of seeing as the result, and the reason for not teaching the path of meditation. The first point is divided into the classification of combinations and the equality of combinations. The first is, "Form, etc., that impermanent, etc.," and so on. From "This shore, the other shore, not the edge" to "As said, know this here," it refers to the basis consciousness of the Bodhisattva, the reasoning of Mahayana realization and the reasoning of Hinayana realization. This is in terms of the first situation, which elucidates the order of abandonment and antidote. Among them, there are two types: meditative equipoise and subsequent attainment. The order of abandonment and antidote in meditative equipoise has already been elucidated in the second chapter, and now the order of abandonment and antidote in subsequent attainment is being elucidated.
