The two, conventional bodhicitta and ultimate bodhicitta, are not contradictory. If asked, why are the two, aspiration and engagement, not contradictory to ultimate bodhicitta? The answer is that there is no fault because conventional bodhicitta does not pervade the bodhicitta of aspiration and engagement. The two, conventional bodhicitta and ultimate bodhicitta, are different in nature. The former is: "The power of friends, the power of causes, the power of roots, the power of hearing, the power of virtue, the power of habituation, the unstable and the stable arise, the bodhicitta taught by others." As it is said, the latter is: "Perfectly served the perfect Buddha, accumulated vast merit and wisdom, non-conceptual wisdom in the Dharma, because it is born, it is considered supreme." Because it is said like that. If so, then all the bodhicitta in the continuum of ordinary bodhisattvas and all the bodhicitta of the subsequent attainment of noble bodhisattvas are the common basis of aspiration and engagement bodhicitta and conventional bodhicitta. All the bodhicitta that abides equally in the nature of reality in the continuum of noble bodhisattvas is the common basis of aspiration and engagement bodhicitta and ultimate bodhicitta. In short, the characteristic of Mahayana bodhicitta is the special practice of perfect enlightenment. The characteristic of the bodhisattva vow: the special practice of perfect enlightenment, which is powerful and constant, possessing the intention to abandon unfavorable factors. Divisions: From the perspective of stages, there are four types: bodhicitta of faith practice, bodhicitta of pure higher intention, bodhicitta of maturation, and bodhicitta of abandoning obscurations. From the perspective of examples, there are twenty-two from like the earth to like the clouds. From the perspective of the object of focus, there are two types: aspiration bodhicitta and engagement bodhicitta, because there are two types: focusing on the result, perfect enlightenment, and focusing on the cause, the path to it. From the perspective of nature, there are two types: ultimate bodhicitta and conventional bodhicitta, because there are two types: those gathered by non-conceptual wisdom and those not gathered. The characteristics of aspiration bodhicitta and engagement bodhicitta are, in order, perfect enlightenment.

What is the special practice of enlightenment? It is having the desire to attain the perfect fruit of enlightenment, along with the wish to practice the path for the sake of enlightenment. What are the characteristics of ultimate bodhicitta and conventional bodhicitta? They are, respectively, the special practice of perfect enlightenment that is encompassed by non-conceptual wisdom, and the special practice of perfect enlightenment that is not encompassed by it. Having finished explaining bodhicitta, now there are two aspects to teaching the key instructions: the reason for teaching the key instructions, and the actual explanation of the key instructions with reason. First, in brief, how does the Bhagavan cause the bodhisattva mahasattva to practice the perfection of wisdom? Thus, the person who has generated bodhicitta, at the time of the division of bodhicitta, asks how to practice the perfection of wisdom in order to perfect all the teachings that have been taught. The answer is that in order to perfect all the teachings taught at the time of the division of bodhicitta, it is necessary to practice entering the perfection of wisdom, so the key instruction that shows that as the subject to be expressed and the subsequent key instruction will be explained. At the end of the key instruction sutra, it will also be said, "This is the key instruction of the perfection of wisdom for the bodhisattva mahasattva, this is the subsequent teaching." Therefore, stemming from the word "key instruction," to what kind of person, by what kind of teacher, for what kind of practice, and for what purpose is the key instruction given? What is the difference between the key instruction and the subsequent teaching? First, it is for the person who seeks the key instruction in order to practice after generating bodhicitta. Second, it is by a teacher such as an emanation body. Third, it is for the practice of the Great Vehicle. Fourth, it is for the purpose of perfecting the ultimate benefit of oneself and others taught at the time of the division of bodhicitta. Fifth, for those who seek to obtain the meaning, showing the near cause of obtaining the meaning is the key instruction and the subsequent teaching. Protecting the qualities that have already been obtained so that they do not decline is the key instruction, and after that, in order to obtain the qualities that have not yet been obtained, it is the subsequent.

This is the teaching. Secondly, the actual instruction is: "Practice and truth, etc." Regarding this, the ancients taught the essence of practice, the object, and the special qualities as three aspects, but according to the treatises summarizing the meaning of the two, Arya and Simha, it can be summarized into two aspects: teaching the essence of practice and teaching the special qualities, because the object and the basis, etc., are the same as special qualities. First, in teaching the essence of practice, identify the practice that does not go beyond the two truths. Second, show that it is not common with the Hearers. Third, there are three parts to the actual instruction on this. The first part is that the venerable Shariputra asked the Blessed One, "Blessed One, how does a great Bodhisattva practice the Mother?" The Blessed One replied, "Shariputra, when a great Bodhisattva practices the Mother, the great Bodhisattva exists, but does not truly see the Bodhisattva. The name of Bodhisattva is also Bodhi. The name of Bodhi is also Mother. The name of Mother is also Practice. Also non-practice. Practice is also practice, non-practice is also non-practice. Practice is neither practice nor non-practice. Form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are also not truly seen. Why is that? Because the Bodhisattva and its name are empty of nature." And so on, it is widely said. Regarding these meanings, the treatises of the Mind-Only school, such as the Ornament of Sutras, the Compendium, and the Summary of the Eight Thousand, explain it by combining the ten non-conceptual practices of Prajnaparamita as antidotes to the ten distractions of discursive thought. The Madhyamaka treatises that explain the meaning of the Mother consider that this is explaining the practice that does not go beyond the two truths. Although in the Two Appearances, apart from combining it with the aspect of non-apprehension, it is not clearly stated that it is combined with not going beyond the conventional truth, but as the teacher said, "not going beyond the conventional and ultimate truths," Ngok and Ar consider that "when a great Bodhisattva practices the Mother" indicates not going beyond the conventional truth, but the wise and accomplished Yakpa considers that the great Bodhisattva
