It is done as the authority to compile extensive explanations. Other than as a dharma used for ornate language, it cannot be used elsewhere. The three kinds of bodhicitta, like good gold, the waxing moon, and fire, indicate the growth of bodhicitta. The first shows the nature of bodhicitta by dividing it into the six perfections. The second shows the nature of bodhicitta by dividing it from the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha. The third shows the nature of bodhicitta by dividing it into the three wisdoms. The objects of bodhicitta from treasure-like onwards are shown to be extensive for the benefit of others, because the method of studying Prajnaparamita for the benefit of others is shown through many metaphors. Therefore, "that and that" refers to the object of bodhicitta, bodhicitta, and "benefit of others like the sutra" means that, as the sutra shows these two objects in two ways, condensed and extensive, "to speak in condensed and extensive ways" means that ornate language also speaks in two ways, condensed and extensive. That ornate language is also related to earth, gold, moon, fire, etc. Regarding the recognition of the two ornate languages, it is unreasonable to consider that the one that speaks briefly is the treatise that shows the nature, and the one that speaks extensively is the treatise that shows the differences. If these two objects at the time of showing the nature cannot be combined with the sutra, then what does the shower explain from here? This contradicts it. If there is, how is it? It should be spoken in two ways, condensed and extensive, just like the Mother Sutra. Because that is the meaning, and because the word combination "that also" appears immediately after the end of "speak," and because the beginning of the bodhicitta sutra combination is from holding onto bodhicitta like earth, it is said in the Manifestation of Realization. Apart from that, considering the treatise that shows the differences as an extensive explanation contradicts combining the sutra that briefly explains bodhicitta with bodhicitta like earth. Then, does the treatise that shows the nature not have a sutra combination? No, all the sutras regarding the twenty-two bodhicittas are sutra combinations of the treatise that shows the nature, for example.

Just as in the sutras from "to contemplate impermanence etc. on that" downwards, although there is no separate combination of sutras that conform to the essential points, it is like how essential points do not need to be without sutras. Furthermore, the words of adornment that summarize and explain benefiting others are the very word of adornment "earth." Because the three metaphors such as gold explain the increase of Bodhi, and those from treasure onwards explain the increase of benefiting others, there are no other words that summarize benefiting others. Therefore, the mind of enlightenment taught in the context of "the mind of enlightenment is for the sake of others," and the mind of enlightenment taught from the context of "earth," must be considered to be coextensive. Because the previous treatise has shown that the mind of enlightenment focuses on both benefiting others and Bodhi, and these two objects are summarized by the word "earth," and those from gold onwards are explained in detail. If someone says that this contradicts the statement that the path of accumulation is summarized by smallness, the answer is that there is no fault because it is the recognition of the minimum limit. Otherwise, it would follow that there is no mind of enlightenment associated with the perfection of giving beyond the second ground. In the root treatise, combining the mind of enlightenment with the sutras means that everything from the instructions to the activities should also be combined with the sutras. This is for the sake of understanding, and the reason for not actually combining them is because of the fear of too many words. The necessity of combining the sutras is to prevent later disciples from composing treatises independently under the influence of biased views without relying on the Buddha's teachings. This has been said before, and it also appears in the Uttaratantra. Second, examining the difficult points, divided into: examining whether the entity is mind or mental factor; examining whether the aspiration and practice are contradictory; and examining whether it has the same basis as the ultimate mind of enlightenment. First, the two, Arya and Simha, consider it mainly as mind, as it says in the Abhisamayalankara: "The so-called mind of enlightenment, mind is consciousness, which is discrimination, what is this discrimination? It is the discrimination of the mind, because it is possible to focus on all white dharmas only in this way." Furthermore, because the teacher thinks that mental factor is the mind of enlightenment, he raised the question of "contradicting the mind of enlightenment" and gave the answer of "it is true."
