Regarding the way of revealing the stages of Abhisamaya, it is considered to be the same as the boundary of the twenty-two types of generation of Bodhicitta. There is no proof for establishing it from the Path of Application as the minimum, because in general, the accumulation of wisdom that is part of the seventeen accumulations does not contradict being present in the Path of Accumulation, and the accumulation of wisdom that is part of the accomplishment of accumulation is not present below the Peak of Dharma. The so-called "Ground of Adhimukti-carya" cannot be established in the Path of Application, because in general, the Ground of Adhimukti-carya includes both the Path of Accumulation and the Path of Application. When it is included by the Path of Accumulation, it belongs to the Path of Application; when it is included by the Path of Application, it belongs to the Path of Accumulation. If it is not like that, then the so-called "Ground of Adhimukti-carya" refers to all four Paths of Application, and the so-called "Path of Application" refers to the Peak of Dharma, then that term itself should be declared. If the four Paths of Application are established in order, then there is no need to separate the first three and the fourth. After the twenty grounds of wisdom, the teacher quoted the previous scripture of the two appearances, and the meaning of that quoted from the Great Commentary is also in other cases, from the Path of Accumulation to the Ground of Buddhahood, for those occasions that are separated from certainty, one should also understand based on the twenty grounds of wisdom here. Those who think that in the Sutra that teaches the twenty emptinesses, only emptiness non-affirmation is taught, and the wisdom of the subject is not taught, according to their view, that Sutra only teaches the emptiness of the object, and does not teach the stages of the Abhisamaya of the subject. If one also thinks like that, then the main point at this time will only become emptiness, and the meaning of this treatise, the stages of Abhisamaya, will not become the content to be explained. If one also thinks like that, then the differences of the twenty emptinesses, for the wisdom of the subject, because it is separated from the order of what has already been experienced and what will be experienced later, therefore the necessary function of this treatise will be lost. That is the meaning of what was said. Second, regarding the detailed explanation of the classification of the grounds, there are four: definition, classification, meaning of the word, and special qualities. First, the definition of just the ground is: it is the basis for subsequent realization and qualities. The main point here is the definition of the Bodhisattva ground: it is the wisdom that directly realizes emptiness, and realizes it through the union of great compassion.

It is a special practice that serves as the basis for future lives and merits. In the Engaging Commentary, it says, "It is named from the fact that it is possessed by the stainless wisdom, compassion, etc. of the Bodhisattvas, and pours down like rain, because it becomes the source of merit." Thus it is said. Secondly, generally speaking, if we divide only by ground, there are three: the Hearer Ground, the Solitary Realizer Ground, and the Great Vehicle Ground. Among the first, there are eight grounds: the White Manifest Vision Ground, the Lineage Ground, the Eighth Ground, the Seeing Ground, the Thin Ground, the Detachment from Desire Ground, the Accomplished Ground, and the Hearer Ground. It seems that there is no detailed explanation of the second. The third has three grounds: the Adhimukti-carya Ground, the Bodhisattva Ground, and the Buddha Ground. Among them, the Bodhisattva Ground also has ten grounds from the first ground, the Extremely Joyful Ground, to the tenth ground, the Cloud of Dharma. In the Precious Garland it says, "As in the Hearer Vehicle, it is said that there are eight Hearer Grounds, similarly in the Great Vehicle, there are ten Bodhisattva Grounds." Thus it is said. Thirdly, there are two types: the general meaning of the word and the individual meaning of the word. The first, in the Ornament, says, "Because of the fearlessness of immeasurable beings, for those immeasurable beings, because they possess the ability to go upwards, those are considered to be the grounds." Thus it is said. Secondly, it is said in the same treatise, "Because of being close to enlightenment and seeing the accomplishment of the meaning of sentient beings, joy arises, therefore it is called the Extremely Joyful Ground. Because it is free from the defilement of immoral conduct and diligent effort, it is called the Stainless Ground. Because it can make the great light of Dharma, it is the Luminous Ground. Thus the Dharma that is in accordance with enlightenment, like light, can burn, and because it is in accordance with it, this ground shines because it burns with both. It accomplishes the maturation of all sentient beings, and protects one's own mind, it is difficult for the wise to tame, therefore it is called the Difficult to Tame. Relying on the Perfection of Wisdom, samsara and nirvana, because both appear here, it is called the Manifest Ground. Because it is connected with the one path, it is considered to be the Far-Going Ground. Because it is unmoved by the two perceptions, it is definitely said to be the Immovable Ground. Each individual's true lineage is virtuous, this ground is the Good Intelligence.
