Likewise, the object of focus is on the Hearer lineage and so forth in a gradual manner. Here, in order to realize the sacred Dharma, the single essence of the Dharmadhatu, it is also through the method of establishing it as the nature of the cause, from the order of realizing it, that thirteen distinct lineages are designated. The master of Suvarnadvipa said, "For example, how the Hearer Vehicle and so forth, through the gate of the Solitary Realizer Vehicle, gradually realize upwards, just as they focus, similarly, in order to realize the sacred Dharma, by focusing on the Dharmadhatu of the Bodhisattva, also in terms of being the cause of completeness of the realization lineages of all three vehicles, only the Dharmadhatu of the Bodhisattva's mind is designated as the Hearer, Solitary Realizer, and Great Vehicle lineages." The third is that Dromtönpa holds the same doctrine as the previous Dharma friend. Dakpo said, "Just as the Mind-Only proponents consider the non-dual consciousness, the essence of which exists in reality, to be of one taste, yet they posit three, so do we, similarly, posit lineages in the Dharmadhatu." Nyalpa said, "When one person gradually studies the three vehicles, such as 'Hearer Devadatta,' 'Solitary Realizer Devadatta,' these are all one continuum, but they are established by different inner realizations. Likewise, the support, the Dharma, the realizations of the three vehicles are different, so the supporting lineages are also different, considered as three." So it is said. All of these seem to be schools that want to use "how the Hearer Vehicle" and so on as examples. However, in the commentary (Tika), it says, "Giving examples is not reasonable, the meaning of the text such as 'how to focus' in this treatise is not an example, and it is not permissible to divide the Dharmadhatu into three distinct lineages." In response to the statement that it is permissible to divide into three distinct lineages through the gate of the three vehicles, it is unrelated to the example. As such, one must bear that fault unwillingly. As for our own system, the intention of the noble ones has already been explained, and the intention of the master's treatise, also when the master himself answers the debate, although it is similar, it seems that it has not become an answer to the fundamental debate. If so, what is the fundamental intention? The great translator.

Regarding the explanation of Dharmadhatu as the basis for accomplishment in the bodily structure, and here, considering Dharmadhatu as lineage and explaining that it has thirteen aspects, it is not feasible for Dharmadhatu, which serves as the basis for accomplishment, to be thirteen different things such as lineage, which serves as the basis for the accomplishment of warmth, because you have no distinctions. If it is said that there is no fault, because although there is no distinction in the essence of Dharmadhatu, the distinctions of that Dharmadhatu are also fully expressed as thirteen, such as lineage, which serves as the basis of warmth, due to the differences in the thirteen Dharmas that accomplish the basis. This seems to be the fundamental intention. Third, there are four ways to ascertain the nature of lineage: the Vaibhashika school, the Sautrantika school, the Cittamatra school, and the Madhyamaka school. The first is that the nature of non-attachment, considering someone with few desires and contentment as lineage, is called the Noble Lineage and the Untainted Lineage, because the noble, untainted path arises from it. If it is divided, there are three who are content with Dharma robes, alms, and meager dwellings, and four who are fond of renunciation and meditation. The way in which the noble, untainted arises from this is that for those with few desires and contentment, the body is separated from busyness and the mind is separated from conceptual thoughts. Possessing these two separations will arise, because possessing these two separations will diligently engage in meditation. The mind that is small in desire and content is not regarded as the naturally abiding lineage, because the meaning of nature is not complete, because it arises from conditions, and because this system does not have the term "naturally abiding lineage." It is also not necessarily established as the lineage of the Buddha, because it is certain that the noble path of the Hearers and the noble path of the Solitary Realizers will arise, so it cannot be established as the lineage of the Buddha, because it is impossible to become a Buddha after obtaining these. Although Dharma friends say that there is no determination of lineage or severance of lineage, it seems that severance of lineage must also be accepted in this system, because it is impossible for someone with wrong views to generate the nature of non-attachment.
