Then he composed the Great Commentary on Emptiness. After that, he regarded the three Mother Prajñāpāramitā sūtras as ornaments, merely combining the source of the three Mother Prajñāpāramitā sūtras with his own views, and briefly explained the Clear Meaning Small Commentary. Regarding the order of writing these three works, although there are many different explanations by paṇḍitas, if based on the Twenty Thousand Verse Light, there are cases where it is in accordance with it, mostly in accordance with it, and mostly not in accordance with it, that is, there are cases where one cannot completely adopt one's own sectarian views, can slightly adopt them, and mainly focuses on one's own views. If it follows the order of the arising of wisdom, then it is reasonable to say so. This is the explanation of the Hundred Thousand Verse. The new Compendium Commentary is said to be the work of the Nepalese translator and Puṇyaśrī (Sanskrit Devanagari: पुण्यश्री, Sanskrit Romanization: puṇyaśrī, Chinese literal meaning: Auspicious Merit), because the wording and style are consistent with the Great Commentary, therefore it was made by the teacher. However, the wording and style of the Hundred Thousand Verse and Mahā are inconsistent, therefore it was not made by him. It is said that the Abridged Commentary is consistent with the way the teacher wrote commentaries, therefore it was made by a disciple who followed the teacher. After that, Buddha Jñānapāda composed the commentary on the Compendium Sūtra. After that, Śāntipa composed the Meaningful Commentary combined with the Twenty Thousand Verse, and the Essence combined with the Eight Thousand Verse, that is, the Essence of Prajñāpāramitā, a total of three works. It is said that this person was a paṇḍita who competed with the teacher, therefore he satirized that the Eight Thousand Verse of the Twenty Thousand Verse was impure, the Great Commentary on the Eight Thousand Verse had no essence, and the Small Commentary had no essence. In addition, for the teacher's Small Commentary, explanations were made by Serlingpa, Śerjung Lodrö, Kulenta, and Ratnakīrti. After that, Abhayākaragupta composed the Essential Moonlight combined with the Eight Thousand Verse, and Buddhaśrī composed the Garland of Wisdom Light. Now entering the actual meaning of the treatise at hand. Fourth, entering the actual meaning of the treatise at hand, there are three parts: the branch of entering the Prajñāpāramitā to be explained - the offering verse; the branch of entering the treatise to be explained - the necessary explanation; and the explained of the treatise - explaining the Abhisamaya. The first part is "Śrāvakas seeking peace" etc., this part is divided into three points: how the noble ones distinguished it; how the teacher explained it; and grasping the meaning of the key points. The first point is:

In manifestation, the homage to the Perfection of Wisdom, preceded by the close placement of the unique qualities of the three omniscient ones, who are the masters of all noble beings! This recitation is to explain the oral instructions of the Ornament of Clear Realization, and I will elaborate on it, thus vowing to explain the Ornament of Clear Realization. Why? Because the words "the path of all-knowingness," etc., are the necessity for beginning the treatise. Thus, the verse expressing homage is to correctly indicate this meaning. So it is said. Then, does the Ornament of Clear Realization become an ornament by summarizing the basis, or by summarizing the antidote, or by summarizing the aspects? This question should be raised. What would happen if that were the case? If according to the first case, then the effort is meaningless. Etc., so it is said. Here, there are three things: direct indication, indirect indication, and implied meaning. The first is "noble beings," etc. The first three lines of the homage verse express the unique qualities of the three wisdoms, and the fourth line, paying homage to the Perfection of Wisdom by entering into this quality, is the direct indication. The second is "its Ornament of Clear Realization," etc. Vowing to compose the Ornament of Clear Realization of the Perfection of Wisdom is the indirect indication. Thirdly, what necessity is derived from the indirect indication? By summarizing what is said, what becomes an ornament? The answer to the first question is to present the discourse on necessary connections. For the second question, since the subject matter of the treatise must be one of the three: basis, antidote, or aspect, is it that the Ornament of Clear Realization becomes an ornament by summarizing only the basis as the subject matter? Or is it by summarizing only the antidote as the subject matter? Or is it by summarizing only the aspects that it becomes an ornament? For these three cases, if according to the first case, then etc., there is a fault, which is a refutation. There is no fault in summarizing all three aspects of basis, antidote, and aspect as the subject matter, which is the answer. Some people think that in both the Nirnayana and the Great Commentary, these discourses of refutation and response appear under the necessary connections, therefore it is an explanation of the necessary connections, which is not understanding this kind of explanation.
