From... onwards, in order to eliminate the subtle gaps of the knowable obscurations that are to be abandoned through meditation at the peak of existence, in nine moments. It is also established from other treatises that Bodhisattvas eliminate the knowable obscurations in moments of categories. Among the Hearers, there are two types of faculties, sharp and dull. Among them, those with sharp faculties can eliminate the afflictive obscurations in moments of categories. Among the three types of Bodhisattva lineages, those who are naturally sharp-witted are therefore established to eliminate the knowable obscurations in moments of categories. The way to refute objections: The teacher said, "On the ninth ground, it is great." At that time, it is said that the antidotes arise from small to large, and the objects to be abandoned diminish from large to small. If such a sequence of abandoning antidotes is unreasonable, then it is like cleaning coarse dirt from clothes, where the cleaner can remove it with little effort, and fine dirt requires great effort to remove, which is reasonable. This is indicated by "In that, refuting objections." After refuting objections in this way, the Bodhisattva's path of meditation has an object that realizes the equality of the knowledge and knowable of the three realms, and therefore becomes the antidote to eliminating all the knowable obscurations to be abandoned through meditation. This is indicated by "The path is to measure," and so on. In the "Two Appearances," it says, "Having the aspect of the three realms, the measure and the measured are equal. In that, refuting objections, it is thought to be the antidote." After indicating this, the object of the dispute is when "On the ninth ground, it is great," the classification of abandoning antidotes that is spoken of, and "The measure and the measured are equal," which indicates that the measurer and the measured are shown to be equal. The way to dispute is that it is unreasonable for the measurer and the measured to be equal, because from the perspective of distinguishing between abandoning and antidotes, the objects to be abandoned diminish from large to small, and the antidotes arise from small to large. The answer to this is that the Perfection of Wisdom neither helps nor suppresses the All-Knowing, because abandoning and antidotes are not established in the ultimate sense, so there will be no distinction between abandoning and antidotes. If one thinks, then what will the effort of the two accumulations produce? The answer to this is that the Bhagavan Perfection of Wisdom is completely pure, and does not completely grasp any dharma, because even the fruit produced by the two accumulations in the ultimate sense is not.

That is the meaning. Then, one might wonder if there will be no attainment or realization at all? The answer to that is, for the completely pure realm of the Bhagavan, there is no attainment, there is no realization. It means that, ultimately, there is nothing to be attained or realized. Like this, the direct teachings of the ultimate answers indicate entering the state of the antidote path. The indirect implications are that, in the conventional truth, there is a distinction between abandonment and antidote, there are fruits generated by the two accumulations, and the answers that there are attainment and realization indicate that abandonment and antidote are reasonable in the conventional truth. Therefore, the Mahayana path is the antidote to all afflictive and cognitive obscurations of the three realms, and the summary of its meaning is: it is considered the true antidote. That is the meaning. No similar explanation is seen elsewhere. From the "Opening the Door to the Hidden Meaning Profound Treasure," the connections and difficult points of each text in the second section have been well explained. Base Knowledge Regarding the connection of the third section, there are two aspects: how the teacher explained it and grasping the key points. The first aspect is: without knowing the distinctions between the incompatible base and the excellent divisions of the antidote, one cannot know the path well. Therefore, base knowledge is taught after path knowledge. It is also divided into three aspects: the base knowledge of the place of entry, the means of entry, and the path of seeing as the result of entry. The first aspect is: "Not on this shore, the other shore, or the edge." etc., one verse directly indicates the base knowledge of the Bodhisattva and indirectly indicates the base knowledge of the Lesser Vehicle. Thus, of these two, the indirectly indicated base knowledge of the Lesser Vehicle, because of clinging to characteristics, is not skilled in the means of accomplishing the fruit mother, so it is far from the fruit mother. The directly indicated base knowledge of the Bodhisattva, because it does not cling to characteristics, is skilled in the means of accomplishing the fruit mother, so it is close to the fruit mother. This is what is indicated by the verse "Because of clinging to characteristics." Furthermore, the indirectly indicated base knowledge of the Lesser Vehicle, because it clings to the characteristics of the base, path, and fruit, is shown as an incompatible aspect, and the clinging to the characteristics of the base is indicated by: "Forms, etc., aggregates of emptiness, all phenomena realized in the three times, the thought of practice is an incompatible aspect."
