Therefore, this is the pure doctrine. Those who do not follow it are not the pure doctrine. In order for the subsequent disciples to understand this, it is only combined with the Buddha's teachings. Thus, relying on faith, scripture, and reason, for the sake of one's own purification. Moreover, because there is no one in the world more learned than the Buddha, because only the perfect one can truly know everything, and not others. Therefore, do not disturb the sutras established by the sage himself, because destroying the Buddha's precepts will also harm the Dharma. Thus it is said. Second, the method of explaining the meaning is: The Ornament of Clear Realization summarizes the meaning of the Prajnaparamita Sutra into eight clear realizations to explain, that is: The Perfection of Wisdom is truly explained by eight things. Thus it is said. The Uttaratantra Shastra summarizes the meaning of the previously mentioned definitive meaning sutras into seven vajra places to explain, that is: Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, Dhatu, Bodhi, and Qualities, the Buddha's activities are the last. The essence of all treatises, in summary, is these seven vajra places. Thus it is said. The Discrimination between the Middle and the Extremes explains the stages of the common vehicle path and the stages of the uncommon Mahayana path, that is: The nature of obscuration is only this, the antidote is cultivation, its place and the attainment of its fruit, is the unsurpassed Great Vehicle. Thus it is said. The Discrimination between Dharma and Dharmata explains the phenomena of samsara and the nature of nirvana separately, that is: All of this is two, the distinction of Dharma and the distinction of Dharmata. The distinction of Dharma is samsara. The distinction of Dharmata is the nirvana of the three vehicles. Thus it is said. The Sutra Ornament summarizes the meaning of many provisional and definitive meaning sutras into five meanings symbolized by five metaphors such as hammering gold, that is: Like hammering gold and like a lotus blooming, like eating delicious food when afflicted by hunger, like hearing good news and like opening a treasure chest, this Dharma spoken here generates supreme joy. Thus it is said. Third,

There are five ways to explain this treatise on the sutras in Yeprak: Identifying the sutra to be explained; Identifying the commentary that establishes the tradition of the chariot; How it establishes the tradition; Identifying the key points of the method of explanation; and How the commentary treatises came to be. The first is the Prajnaparamita Sutras. On this, the scholars of the past made the classification of six mothers and eleven sons. The six mothers are: the Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the Twenty-five Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, and the Eighteen Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, which are the three expanded sections. The Ten Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, and the Jewel Accumulation of Qualities, which are the three condensed sections. The eleven sons are: the Seven Hundred Verse Prajnaparamita, the Three Hundred Verse Prajnaparamita, the One Hundred and Fifty Verse Prajnaparamita, the Fifty Verse Prajnaparamita, the Twenty-five Door Sutra, the Sutra Requested by Rabtsal Namnon, the Sutra Requested by Kausika, the Few Syllable Mother, the One Syllable Sutra, the Diamond Cutter Sutra, and the Heart Sutra. Among these, the first six explain the eight topics and seventy meanings separately, so they are called mothers. The latter eleven do not explain in this way, so they are called sons. Some say this. On this, there are two points: the number is not fixed and the terminology is not appropriate. First, since the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita is one chapter of the collected sutras, if it is counted separately, it will be too many. Moreover, the Sutra Requested by Moon Essence, the Sutra Requested by Sun Essence, and the Prajnaparamita Vajrapani are incomplete, so there is the fault of being incomplete. Second, the terminology is not appropriate because there is no explanation anywhere that those who explain by dividing the eight topics and seventy meanings are called mothers, and those who do not explain in this way are called sons. Some also say that because it explains the stages of realization, it is a mother, and because it does not explain the stages of realization but only explains the unborn realm, it is established as a son. This is also unreasonable because the Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita and others explain both, so it is a fault of being both mother and son. Moreover, explaining the unborn realm is explaining with selflessness as the main topic, so the terminology of mother is appropriate. Furthermore, the Seven Hundred Verse Prajnaparamita explains the two accumulations and the path of joining, and the ten bhumis of the noble ones, that is, the classification of the twelve bhumis. The Diamond Cutter Sutra...
