Moreover, each moment of the uninterrupted path mentioned is also an antidote that abandons the seeds of the four types of conceptualization of grasping and being grasped, which are to be abandoned by cultivation in one's own share. Therefore, it is distinguished from the opposite perspective. In this way, the uninterrupted path of the second ground, the abandonment and the antidote, even though it is only one antidote, from the perspective of being the antidote to the four types of conceptualization of grasping and being grasped, which are to be abandoned, there are four; those four have thirty-six from the perspective of the object, so there are also thirty-six antidotes; those have one hundred and eight from the perspective of the realm, so their antidotes are also one hundred and eight; from the perspective of the ground, there are three hundred and twenty-four, so their antidotes are also three hundred and twenty-four. Similarly, it is also like that between the uninterrupted paths of the tenth ground, so when added together in one direction, there are two thousand nine hundred and sixteen stages of the peak of the path of cultivation. Similarly, in the peak of the path of seeing, from the perspective of being the antidote to the seeds of the four types of conceptualization of grasping and being grasped, which are to be abandoned by seeing, the patience of the dharma of suffering on the path of seeing itself has four; from the perspective of the thirty-six antidotes, there are thirty-six; from the perspective of the one hundred and eight antidotes, there are one hundred and eight; from the perspective of being the antidote to the three hundred and twenty-four, there are also three hundred and twenty-four, which should also be known. Third, the qualities obtained at those times are indicated by "When these diseases are exhausted." etc. The meaning of this is that the teacher says that the bodhisattva on the constant side, is such a dharma, that in his subsequent moment, he relies on the manner of manifesting all the perfect kinds of qualities of the three vehicles, because in his subsequent moment, he abandons the one hundred and eight types of conceptualization of grasping and being grasped, which are to be abandoned by cultivation, and because he abandons the one hundred and eight afflictions that are summarized as the causes of those. Although such qualities of abandonment and realization will manifest at the time of the first moment of the realization of omniscience, they are not not becoming the qualities of the bodhisattva on the constant side, because it is said from the opposite perspective that those qualities are immediately drawn out. Because it is said like that. Our own system is that in the fourth chapter, when it is shown that the bodhisattvas who abide in the path of application, the path of seeing, and the path of cultivation do not regress, it is thought that those will change without relying on the order of practice.

In order to dispel doubts, just as all three unions are applied to the practice of the Bodhisattva of the Pure Land. Previously, when explaining from the aspect of the peak union of seeing and meditating, which counteracts diligence, in order to dispel the doubt that those do not have the merit of not relying on diligence, in order to show the aspect of the merit of not relying on diligence in the Pure Land, these treatises appear. How is it? The individual who is the basis of not relying on diligence, the cause of not relying on diligence, the merit of not relying on diligence, the way of not relying on diligence. The first is, it is shown by the two lines, "The excellent result is praised, That great Bodhisattva," which is the Bodhisattva of the Pure Land. The second is, it is shown by, "When these plagues are exhausted, As if a long time has passed and the breath has gone out," when the plague is exhausted, after a long time, there is no obstacle to the growth of physical strength, just as it grows naturally by itself, when the conceptual thoughts of grasping and holding, which are to be abandoned by meditation, are exhausted, the seeds of realization of the three vehicles naturally and unimpededly increase upwards. The third is, it is shown by, "In all aspects, the virtues that accomplish happiness are all perfect," which are the seeds of realization of the three vehicles that accomplish the benefit of the three types of beings. The fourth is, it is shown by, "Like rivers in a great ocean, They rely on all aspects," just as four rivers constantly flow into a great ocean, the seeds of realization of the three vehicles constantly arise. Regarding the uninterrupted peak union, the way it is spoken of in the Sutras, the way it is shown in the Treatises, and the necessity of showing it in this way, these three. The first is, in the Sutra, by taking the example of placing all the sentient beings of the three thousand worlds in the faultless state of Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas, it is directly shown that the merit is greater than that of omniscience, thereby implicitly explaining the uninterrupted peak union. The second is, combining that example with the implicit uninterrupted peak union, thereby showing that it is more meritorious than that, which is expressed by "Sentient beings of the three thousand worlds, Hearers," etc. In the Sutra, it is directly shown that the merit of omniscience is greater, therefore the merit of the uninterrupted peak union is greater.
