Since it is established by combining with the first three (parts), the views of the two noble lions (Asanga and Vasubandhu) appear to be the fundamental intention. After that, in the "Body Differentiation" of the Abhisamayalankara concerning the peak application of the path of seeing, it says: "Seeing is named, and meditation is named, the paths of action are separate, the antidotes to the four discriminations, and the four natures." Here, it is explained from the aspect of the reversal of the antidotes to the four discriminations of what is to be abandoned, what is grasped, and what is held, which are abandoned on the path of seeing. Here, in order to establish this, it is necessary to identify the discriminations of what is to be abandoned, what is grasped, and what is held, and to identify the peak application of the antidote, the path of seeing. Among these, the first point includes two types: grasping discrimination and holding discrimination. The first is further divided into two types: entering grasping discrimination and reversing grasping discrimination, which are divided into nine types through the aspect of the object, and this is briefly explained in the verse "Entering and reversing," etc. The authors of the three hundred thousand-verse Prajnaparamita believe that these two are the pure grasping discriminations mentioned in the first chapter, because the objects of these two are the fruit of the Bodhisattva path and the fruit of the Hearer path, which are pure dharmas. This is their thought. But this is unreasonable, because the pure grasping discrimination mentioned in the first chapter is the mind that clings to its own object as something to be taken, while the reversing grasping discrimination is the mind that clings to its own object as something to be reversed. The key meaning is this: In the first chapter, the terms "base-having" and "antidote-having" of grasping discrimination are explicitly mentioned, and the meaning of the base-having grasping discrimination is that even if its own object is the dharma of ignorance and other afflictions, or the dharma of purification such as the Hearer path, it is still clinging to what should be abandoned. Among these, there are two types of grasping discriminations: the base-having of the lineage to be abandoned on the self-liberation path, and the base-having of the lineage to be abandoned on the Bodhisattva path. The first is: clinging to the dharma of ignorance and other afflictions, thinking that it is the grasping of what should be abandoned, which is said in the context of the third path (the path of no interval) as "without afflictions," etc., because the mind that realizes the selflessness of the grasping of afflictions is said to be the seed of the realization of the self-liberation path. The second is: making the fruit of the Hearer path, etc., appear as something to be reversed.
