Since all the types of views held by those who hold to permanence and annihilation are limited to those sixty-two, the sutras classify views into sixty-two. When the Tathagata turned the wheel of Dharma, some non-Buddhist ascetics summarized the meanings of the sixty-two views held by the Blessed One into fourteen points and asked questions, these are the fourteen unelucidated views. Second, analyzing whether the union of the basis of knowledge has characteristics: In the 'Two Appearances,' without any clear statement, based on the union of the Mahayana, sixteen characteristics are explained. The teacher says that these are the characteristics of the two unions of the path of knowledge and omniscience. Its intention is to express through characteristics in the form of excluding others who possess them, therefore it is necessary to distinguish the union that one possesses from others, making it different from the lower vehicles, therefore it is applied to the latter two unions. Because the latter two unions do not possess the lower vehicle, and only the union of the basis of knowledge is also present in the lower vehicle, therefore if characteristics are applied to it, it is necessary to exclude those who possess the lower vehicle, but it is not possible to exclude it. However, if viewed from the perspective of the type of realization, the union of the basis of knowledge has no characteristics, because it is a type of realization of the lower vehicle. If viewed from the perspective of its own essence, all three unions have characteristics, because they are the essence of one union of the Mahayana, and the type of realization of the lower vehicle must also be practiced through the mode of non-attachment. Third, in terms of the characteristics of action, analyzing whether it is the action of the Buddha or the Bodhisattva: In the 'Eight Thousand Verse,' the first two are explained as the action of the Bodhisattva, and the latter nine are explained as the action of the Buddha. In the 'Hundred Thousand Verse' and the 'Twenty-five Thousand Verse,' the first five are related to the Bodhisattva, and the latter six are related to the Buddha. In the 'Eighteen Thousand Verse,' the first six are related to the Buddha, and the latter five are related to the Bodhisattva. In the 'Ten Thousand Verse of Wisdom,' all of these are explained as the Bodhisattva. Regarding the meaning of these, the commentary says: Although these eleven actions are present in both the Buddha and the Bodhisattva, when explained as characteristics, it is taking the part that the Bodhisattva possesses. As it is said, it is good. In the 'Two Appearances,' union

Although it is not clear that the three are applied separately to each aspect, the teacher applies three, seven, and one separately to the combination of the three wisdoms. There is a reason for explaining the "part of liberation" under "nature," because previously, the meaning of the three wisdoms was determined through hearing and thinking, and summarized as "especially respecting the Buddhas." In this case, the four types of people who are the basis feel happy, and because they are proficient in the classification, merits, faults, and nature of the combination, the "part of liberation" mentioned here arises. Then, one might wonder, why is the "part of liberation" mentioned here proficient in these? Because the "part of liberation" mentioned here is the integration of the wisdom of realizing the view of no characteristics with the practice of being proficient in the five objects such as the Buddha. As it is said: "Those who perfectly give without characteristics, and are skilled in true practice, in this realization of all aspects, it is considered to be in accordance with the part of liberation." If it is the "part of liberation" of the Mahayana, then proficiency in the five objects such as the Buddha is not universal, because there is also the "part of liberation" when hearing and thinking are done for the sake of proficiency in the five objects such as the Buddha. Therefore, from determining the three wisdoms through hearing and thinking, to the "part of liberation" included in hearing and thinking until one has not become proficient in the nature of the combination, the Dharma friend calls it the "ordinary accumulation path." When one is proficient in the nature of the combination, it is the time when one is proficient in the five objects such as the Buddha, and from then until the "part of liberation" before the heat of the path of application has arisen, it is the "part of liberation" included in meditation, and he uses the term "special part of liberation" for this. The "part of liberation" mentioned here, after it arises in the continuum, does not depend on hearing and thinking until the heat is obtained, because by meditating on the lineage of faith, etc., which are proficient in the five objects, when a clear appearance is obtained for the object of meditation, these five faiths, etc., become powers, and at that time it is established that heat is obtained. The five faiths, etc., before heat is obtained, although they are powers that only have power over purification, they are not powers that belong to the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, because it is at the time of direct realization of the truth...
