Because the two kinds of conceptualization taught in the ground are not specifically determined for the two, ordinary beings and noble ones. The sign is accepted. If asserted, then the statement that it exists in its continuum would be a consequence of not being definitive. If asserted, then that word of it is conventional, but not ultimate, so it is meaningless, which is contradictory. The third is that the two kinds of conceptualization taught from the context of the two, text and commentary, are taught to be specifically determined for the two, ordinary beings and noble ones. Thus, here, if it is the directly taught substance-grasping conceptualization, then it is pervasive that it exists only in the continuum of ordinary beings. If that is the case, then it is pervasive that it is a substance-grasping conceptualization made in terms of the person. Why? Because it is impossible for it to exist in the continuum of noble ones. The first is a consequence, because "Sentient beings hold onto conceptualizations as existing substances." So it is said. The latter is a consequence, because if one is a noble one, then it is pervasive that one directly realizes the selflessness of the person. Also, here, if it is the explicitly taught imputation-grasping conceptualization, then it is pervasive that it exists only in the continuum of noble ones. If that is the case, then it is pervasive that it is an imputation-grasping conceptualization of suchness-attention made in terms of the person. It is impossible for it to exist in the continuum of ordinary beings, because if that is the case, then it is also pervasive that it is an imputation-grasping conceptualization made in terms of the person. It is pervasive that it is an imputation-grasping conceptualization of suchness-attention. The first is a consequence, because "Sentient beings hold onto conceptualizations as imputed existents." So it is said. The latter is a consequence, because those are faith-attention, and here it is intended to express suchness-attention, so it is meaningless. So it is said. Here, the two, the substance-grasping conceptualization and the imputation-grasping conceptualization, which are implicitly taught, are not specifically determined for the two, ordinary beings and noble ones, because the substance-grasping conceptualization taught in this way exists in the continuum of Hinayana noble ones, and the imputation-grasping conceptualization exists in the continuum of Bodhisattva ordinary beings. The first is a consequence, because here, the substance-grasping conceptualization made in terms of phenomena is implicitly taught, and it exists in its continuum, because in its continuum there is the truth-grasping that grasps as true the phenomena that have become objects to be abandoned by seeing. The latter root sign is a consequence, because here, the imputation-grasping conceptualization made in terms of phenomena is implicitly taught, and that Bodhisattva

Because it exists in the continuum of sentient beings, because in his continuum, there exists the imputed clinging conceptualization of faith and attention focused on Dharma, whatever imputed clinging conceptualization focused on Dharma that is to be abandoned by the path of seeing exists, because such imputed clinging conceptualization of faith and attention is established as a basis. Therefore, here, the mind that directly apprehends the imputed Dharma, the person, as substantially existent and imputedly existent is directly shown, while the mind that apprehends the basis of imputation, Dharma, as substantially existent and imputedly existent is indirectly shown. What is the reason why those two must be shown here? Because it is directly shown. It must be shown here, because it is directly shown in the context of detailed explanation. In "clinging and abandoning, etc.," the basis of imputation, Dharma, is divided into nine types such as clinging and abandoning, and the mind that apprehends it as substantially existent is directly shown as the first clinging conceptualization. In "intentionally and certainly not arising, etc.," the basis of imputation, Dharma, is divided into nine types such as intentionally and certainly not arising, and the mind that apprehends it as imputedly existent is directly shown as the second clinging conceptualization. Similarly, in the context of detailed explanation, the reason for indirectly showing the mind that apprehends the imputed Dharma, the person, as substantially existent and imputedly existent should also be compared. If it is thought that the substantial clinging conceptualization focused on the person, because it is the true clinging to the person, is an affliction obscuration, and therefore it is not considered to be the conceptualization mentioned here, that is not the case, the true clinging to the person is the mind that clings to the aggregates as self, while this is because it is the mind that clings to it as true. This is an exposition of the profound view of the complete understanding of all knowable objects. In the context of "nature and lineage, etc.," some say that the obscuration of knowledge, which is the main part to be abandoned by the path of the bodhisattva, whatever mind that appears to enter the path of the bodhisattva and its fruit is the definition of the first apprehended conceptualization, then, the Dharma of the mind that only appears to enter the path of the bodhisattva is an external condition, because it is the signified. It cannot be admitted, because it is the same as the Dharma. Some say that whatever mind that appears to enter the nine objects such as nature, etc., is the Dharma of the apprehended conceptualization of entering to be abandoned by meditation, is an external condition, because it is the signified. If admitted, then it becomes to be abandoned by the path of seeing.
