Fourth, these two, which have the object of union and the object of entry, are the uncommon names of the first two of the meditative abandonment of conceptualization. Just as the abandonment of conceptualization in the path of seeing has four uncommon names such as entering the grasped conceptualization, it is also considered necessary for the abandonment of conceptualization in meditation to have its own uncommon names, so the previous four, such as having the object of union, were spoken. The terms "grasped conceptualization" and "grasping conceptualization" are common names, because it is said (in the scriptures): "In the paths of seeing and familiarization, there are all the conceptualizations of grasping and grasping." If it is not like that, but the object of the path of union is taken as the antidote, and the wisdom of the supreme Dharma of the path of union is the antidote to the four conceptualizations to be abandoned by seeing, if it is the second of the four spoken of, then that (Dharma) should be the peak union of the path of seeing, because it is the antidote to the abandonment of seeing taught from the occasion of "the four aspects of the antidote." Furthermore, that (Dharma) is the meaning of abandoning the entering grasped conceptualization and the substance-grasping conceptualization to be abandoned by seeing. Is it directly abandoning the seed, or directly abandoning the manifest? If it is like the first, it is not reasonable, because it is the conceptualization of an ordinary person. If it is like the second, it is not reasonable, because the manifest entering grasped conceptualization is the object of abandonment of the peak, and the manifest substance-grasping conceptualization is said to be the object of abandonment of forbearance. Therefore, the four peak unions of the path of seeing as the antidote to the four conceptualizations to be abandoned by seeing are the Bodhisattva's path of seeing, the Dharma-forbearance of suffering, one in essence, divided from the door of eliminating the abandonment of what is to be abandoned. In the body arrangement, the meaning of the aspect of the antidote is spoken of in the fifth chapter: "That which is gathered by the momentary forbearance is the path of seeing here." Whether the intention of the Lord Maitreya is like this or not, please combine the upper and lower scriptures and observe it with those who have wisdom. After these plagues have all been exhausted, in the occasion of (the text) saying "After the plagues have all been exhausted," some say: The Bodhisattva of the constant side, you have all the reliance of the complete qualities of the three vehicles, because you are the person who has abandoned the one hundred and eight conceptualizations of the grasped and grasping aspects of the abandonment of meditation. Then, is that abandoning the manifest, or abandoning its seed? If it is like the first, then it should be the Bodhisattva of the eighth ground, because that (Bodhisattva) is the Bodhisattva of the eighth ground. Therefore.

Yes, because it is a person who abides in a pure place. In the second case, if according to the second case, then the former, i.e., the proponent, should have abandoned the habits of grasping and appearance-apprehending conceptualizations, one hundred and eight in number, which are to be abandoned by cultivation, because the seeds of those habits have been abandoned. This is not pervasive for the view that everyone agrees with nowadays, because they proclaim that in the state of the extreme of continuity, the seeds have been abandoned, but the habits have not been abandoned. I do not accept this statement, then, if the seeds of the conceptualizations to be abandoned by seeing are abandoned, then it is not pervasive to abandon their habits, because of this proposition. If accepted, then, the uninterrupted path of the path of seeing of the Great Vehicle should be the basis of the abandonment of the seeds, but not the abandonment of the habits, because of acceptance. If accepted, then, that, i.e., the proponent, should not be the real antidote to that seed, because you have not completely abandoned that seed. If someone says: There is a case where the seeds to be abandoned by cultivation are abandoned, but their habits are not abandoned, because there is the object to be abandoned by the peak practice of the uninterrupted path that is different from the object to be abandoned by the peak practice of the path of cultivation. This is really too outrageous, because such an object to be abandoned, i.e., the proponent, should not be the habit of the obscuration of knowledge that belongs to the objects to be abandoned by cultivation, because you are not the object to be abandoned by the peak practice of the path of cultivation. Both the reason and the pervasion are established on the basis of the subject. Furthermore, the habits of the obscuration of knowledge should not have a definite number of two, seeing and cultivation, because their real antidote is not definite for these two paths. The reason is accepted. Furthermore, like the former, at the same time as abandoning one hundred and eight conceptualizations, only the one hundred and eight afflictions included by them are abandoned, then, are these one hundred and eight objects to be abandoned as an inclusion, as the seeds of the objects to be abandoned by cultivation, or as habits? If according to the former, then, the bodhisattva at the extreme of continuity, i.e., the proponent, should have abandoned the habits of the afflictive obscurations to be abandoned by cultivation, one hundred and eight in number, because those seeds have been abandoned. The reason is accepted. Someone says: It is not pervasive, because "abandoning one hundred and eight afflictions" also refers to the seeds of the afflictive obscurations. Even so, alas, this is really amazing, because its seeds have already been abandoned from the first ground. If according to the latter, then, it is the object to be abandoned by the peak practice of the uninterrupted path that is different from the peak practice of the path of cultivation.
