Because there is no statement saying that the path of meditation taught from the first three preparatory practices is not the path of meditation below the seventh ground. The subsequent inferences are that in the stage of the Mahāyāna path of preparation, arrogance is exhausted and non-conceptual wisdom is attained. Because the scriptures say, "The prophet and arrogance are exhausted," and "Non-conceptual samādhi," etc., the path of preparation taught is the nature of the path of preparation. If it is said that it is not pervasive, because these two refer only to the fact that in the stage of equipoise, arrogance does not manifest, and at that time, the conceptualization of grasping and being grasped does not manifest. Then, the five inferences you mentioned are also not pervasive, because the meaning of these texts is: generating the realization of stream-entry by oneself, generating the flawless realization of a bodhisattva, generating the wisdom of omniscience from the mind, in the stage of equipoise, afflictions do not manifest due to the latent tendencies of afflictions, and dedicating the complete Dharma of the three wisdoms. Second, it is also unreasonable for the teacher to think that the three paths of preparation, seeing, and meditation, which are taught from the first three preparatory practices, are nominal, because although the term 'decisive fraction' is not explicitly stated at the time of the peak preparation, it is explicitly stated that the four peak preparations, etc., which are represented by symbols, are the nature of the four decisive fractions. Third, among the three ways of explaining, the first: Some wise lamas say that although this treatise is the teacher's own treatise, in the teacher's tradition, the three paths are of the nature, which is not contradictory, because this treatise does not say that the three paths are nominal. So what is the meaning of this treatise? In the first six chapters, it is said six times that the three paths are of the nature, which is not a fault of repetition, because in the case of the three wisdoms, it is said three times that the three paths are of the nature, which is said from different objects. In the case of the first three preparatory practices, it is said from different necessities. The latter reason is established, because at the time of the complete preparation, the small, medium, and large wisdoms of the eighth ground.

In order to dispel the doubt of whether they arise simultaneously, and in order to dispel the doubt of whether the wisdom of the ninth ground during the peak application and the small, medium, and large wisdom of the tenth ground during the gradual application arise simultaneously, it is to show the three paths as characterized. That is, it is not that the three wisdoms of the eighth ground are shown by being named as the three: application, seeing, and meditation. This treatise only shows the necessity of teaching the three paths. Because there is no reason given for the imputation, nor any harm to reality. And the teacher also said in the Compendium of Explanations, "In order to understand the distinctions of the eighth, the immovable ground, all aspects are shown completely." The second way of explaining is: Some who live near Lhasa say that there is no fault of repetition in showing the three, application, seeing, and meditation, six times in the first six stages, because in the first three stages, showing the three paths three times is shown from the point of view of establishing what is to be known. In the case of the first three applications, it is shown from the point of view of practicing application. Moreover, all aspects have two: merely all aspects and those with distinctions. Similarly, the peak application and the gradual application are also divided into two. Similarly, each of the manifest realizations with the names of the three paths of application, seeing, and meditation, shown from the first three application stages, also has two each: merely and with distinctions. Merely is the actual application path and so on. What is distinct is the wisdom of the pure ground. So, what is the reason why the wisdom of the pure ground is shown by the names of the three, application, seeing, and meditation? The reason for the imputation is that it is in accordance with the Dharma of the three paths and gradual arising. The necessity of naming is to dispel the doubt of whether small, medium, and large wisdoms arise simultaneously in the pure ground due to the cessation of effort. The harm to reality is that the three, application, seeing, and meditation, with the characteristics of effort, are not real, because they are the wisdom of the pure ground. Therefore, this treatise is the teacher's own system, and although this treatise indirectly shows the establishment of the three paths, in the teacher's system, the three, application, seeing, and meditation, shown from the first three application stages, are that.
