Because if it is faith, etc., in the continuum, then it must not be a faculty, because as stated in the commentary: "Excellent wisdom is not the nature of a faculty." To this, someone says: It follows that a Mahāyāna accumulation path practitioner does not have faculties, because the faith, etc., in their continuum does not have sharp faculties. If you say that, then it follows that a person who has not entered the path does not have sharp faculties. Second, among the three of refutation, establishment, and abandonment, first, 'Bre Chenpo says: One who is currently a Mahāyāna accumulation path practitioner has one who is temporarily determined to be of the Mahāyāna lineage, one who is temporarily determined to be of the Hīnayāna lineage, and one who is not determined to be of any lineage, totaling three. The former is indicated by the term "sharp faculties," the middle one by "dull faculties," and the latter by "intermediate faculties." In the root text, the two, sharp and dull, are explicitly stated, and the intermediate faculties are implied. Ar says: One who is currently a Mahāyāna accumulation path practitioner has one who is temporarily determined to be of the Mahāyāna lineage, one who is determined to be of the Pratyekabuddha lineage, and one who is determined to be of the Śrāvaka lineage, totaling three. The first is indicated by the term "sharp faculties," and the latter two by the term "dull faculties." In the root text, it is explicitly stated that complete enlightenment is difficult to attain, and from that it is implied that a Mahāyāna accumulation path practitioner who is determined to be of the Pratyekabuddha lineage, having turned away from the Mahāyāna accumulation path, attains Pratyekabuddha enlightenment; and one of the Śrāvaka lineage, having turned away from that, attains Śrāvaka enlightenment. 'Bre's view is: Considering the phrase "difficult to realize for the dull," etc., it follows that if one is a Mahāyāna accumulation path practitioner explicitly stated, there is a pervasion that one cannot attain unsurpassed enlightenment without an interval of another vehicle temporarily, because if a Mahāyāna accumulation path practitioner who is temporarily determined to be of the Hīnayāna lineage is dull-witted, it is pervaded that they cannot attain it. If you assert that, then it follows that if a Mahāyāna application path practitioner is dull-witted, they must have previously traversed the Hīnayāna path, because it is impossible for a Mahāyāna accumulation path practitioner who is sharp-witted to become dull-witted. Furthermore, the faith, etc., of a Mahāyāna accumulation path practitioner whose lineage is undetermined are the faith, etc., explicitly stated in the phrase "complete enlightenment is easy for the sharp-witted, difficult to realize for the dull," because they are the faith, etc., explicitly stated in the phrase "faith directed towards the Buddhas, etc." There is a pervasion, but even so, all

Because it is said that one has not yet attained the unsurpassed Bodhi. A's view is also unreasonable, because from the implied "the middling ones..." and "the small ones..." it is appropriate to directly show the faith, etc., of the middling and small ones, and when it says "easy to understand, the dull reveals the difficult." Because from that time, the directly shown faith, etc., is dull. Thesis. If accepted, then it is not established. Because at that time it is implied, because the liberation of the Hinayana is similar, and because it is said "the implied middling ones..." Also, those two, from that time, the directly shown faith, etc., should not be dull. Because from that time, the directly shown faith, etc., both sharp and dull, are great faith, etc., because it is said like this, "Like this, great faith, etc., the sharp ones..." and "Those themselves, the dull ones..." Some say that here, the directly shown dull faith, etc., refers to the Hinayana path of accumulation. It is unreasonable, because that faith, etc., as a subject, should not be the faith, etc., directly shown by the root verses here. Because it is not faith, etc., that is grasped by the wisdom that realizes the signless, and is skilled in the five objects such as the Buddha. Pervasion, because it is said "Although it is like that..." etc. Also, here, the directly shown dull one is also a Mahayana path of accumulation practitioner, and it is also impossible to enter the Mahayana path of preparation without being interrupted by other vehicles, if so, it is pervasive that one cannot attain unsurpassed Bodhi temporarily without being interrupted by other vehicles, if one is a Mahayana path of preparation practitioner, then it is pervasive that one obtains the sign of non-retrogression, so it is said. For the above, it is not pervasive, because there is a basis in common for the dull-witted Mahayana path of accumulation practitioner and the one whose lineage is determined in the Mahayana. The latter thesis is not pervasive, because it is reasonable to establish the minimum boundary of the sign of non-retrogression on the three paths of preparation, seeing, and meditation, in accordance with the order of the faculties. Some say that here, all three faculties of sharp, middling, and dull that are directly shown are Mahayana path of accumulation practitioners, because all three are said to be skilled in the five objects such as the Buddha, and it is also said that way in the commentary.
