It seems that this places the main part of reasoning in the forefront. Master Chandrakirti said that when refuting Svātantrika, if eyes etc. are taken as conventional dharmas as the subject, then it is not established for the former opponent; if eyes etc. are taken as ultimate dharmas as the subject, then it is not established for the latter opponent. Having blocked this, if, like establishing sound as impermanent, one takes only sound itself as the subject without distinguishing between permanent and impermanent, then here too, if one takes only eyes etc. as the subject without distinguishing between true and false, then what? The answer to that is: When making the negation of birth the dharma to be proven, the subject, eyes etc., are destroyed. This contradicts what you, Lektan's offspring, have promised yourself. And the wisdom that realizes that eyes etc. are unborn is non-perverted wisdom, so even eyes etc. do not appear in its presence, because eyes etc. are the object of attainment of perverted wisdom. Two reasons are given. Likewise, in the Clear Words, it says: Here, when one wants to make the negation of birth the dharma to be proven, only at that time, the object of attainment of my object by the perverted support of that, the subject, is what this destroyed one has promised himself. And because those that are perverted and non-perverted are different, therefore, in the state of non-perversion, since there is no perversion, where are the conventional eyes etc. that become the subject? Therefore, since there is no fault of the unestablished basis of the পক্ষ (pakṣa, thesis) and the fault of the unestablished basis of the reason, this is not an answer. There is no similarity in the example either. That is because the generality of sound and the generality of impermanence itself, if they exist in both those who do not want to express the difference, similarly, the generality of the eye is emptiness, and those who say that it does not possess emptiness, have not even promised it conventionally, and there is no similarity in the example that is not ultimately. Because it is clearly stated. Regarding the meaning of these, in the forty-fifth and forty-sixth pages of the Distinguishing of Provisional and Definitive, a wonderful explanation has been made due to not conforming to one's own tenets. By closely estimating that, it seems to be a place where fear arises for other explanations as well. When Chandrakirti refutes Svātantrika, Svātantrika

It is said that later authors did not notice the avoidance of faults, which seems to be because they did not see the Commentary on the Two Truths. For in that it says: 'The terms inference and inferable occur in the subject and predicate that appear in the nature of the minds of the debater and the refuter, and in the establishment as an example. Since both the subject and the predicate, etc., are not established, inference cannot occur. Others are not so, because those who abide in different philosophical systems do not have the same cognition of anything. Those who abide in such a subject, if they consider it correct only through such reasons, etc., should admit that they think it is or is not. Therefore, if a logician also makes inferences in that way, who will prevent it? This is because the establishment of sameness is determined, so there is no further expansion here.' Please look at this passage. Therefore, the difference between Svatantrika and Prasangika is clear in the Commentary Clear Words, and there is no extensive explanation. An extensive explanation according to its method will be explained elsewhere. Here, I will only briefly speak with an impartial mind, so listen carefully. Here there are three differences: the difference in assertion, the difference in reasoning, and on which of the two truths the distinction is made. First, external and internal phenomena do not arise from themselves, etc., these four assertions. The mere acceptance of the assertion is the same for both Svatantrika and Prasangika. However, the Svatantrika asserts that it is a Svatantrika assertion, and the Prasangika asserts that it is a Prasangika assertion, which is the difference. So, what is the difference between the two? On the basis of the establishment of the common appearance of the subject by both debaters, if the former debater wants to infer a particular property, and it is to be established by a reason established by valid cognition, that is a Svatantrika assertion. On the basis of the establishment of the common appearance of the subject, even if there is no desire to infer a particular property, but one sees the reasoning that harms the opposite side, and temporarily makes an assertion there, that is a Prasangika assertion. Second, in order to establish some particular property on the basis of the establishment of the common appearance of the subject, the reason established by the three aspects of valid cognition is established, which is the reasoning of the Svatantrika.
