Second, explaining the method of comparison through transformations. First, it is like 'at that time' and so on. The order of quoting sutras in the commentary is slightly different, namely, obtaining a hundred samadhis and entering into those samadhis, which means seeing a hundred Buddhas, and also correctly knowing their blessings, and causing a hundred worlds to shake, and also going to a hundred pure lands, and manifesting in a hundred worlds, and completely maturing a hundred sentient beings, and abiding for a hundred kalpas, and entering the beginning and end in a hundred kalpas, and distinguishing a hundred dharma gates, and universally showing a hundred bodies, and each body also universally showing having a hundred hundred bodhisattva retinues, and so on. Second, it is like 'intelligent' and so on. The second has three: the qualities of the eighth bhumi, the ninth bhumi, and the tenth bhumi. First, it is like 'immovable' and so on. Second, it is like 'excellent' and so on. The third has two: the qualities of comparison by number, and the qualities of showing manifestations. First, it is like 'some' and so on. Second, it is like 'pores' and so on. Second, in the fruit, the Buddha-ground, there are two: the general establishment and entering the meaning of the treatise. The first has four: refuting the view that Buddhas do not have wisdom, refuting the view that there are dualistic appearances, establishing the self-view as reasonable, and explaining the establishment of the uncommon body. First, it is like some who previously claimed to be Madhyamikas, believing that the cause of the knowing consciousness and all knowable appearances is ignorance, and by practicing this path, it is gradually abandoned. Even the extremely subtle habitual imprints are uprooted by the vajra-like samadhi at the very end of the tenth bhumi continuum. Afterwards, just as a rainbow disappears into the sky, wisdom merges into the dharmadhatu, becoming the sole stainless dharmadhatu. Therefore, all appearances of body, activity, and wisdom are merely other-appearances. Regarding this, it is also unreasonable that the cause of consciousness and all knowable appearances is ignorance, because ignorance is only a condition for confused appearances, while the cause is the respective previous causes and conditions. Otherwise, even the wisdom at the very end of the continuum should be ignorance.

It is the fruit, therefore it becomes something to be abandoned. In that case, is it abandoned by oneself or by another antidote? It is not abandoned by oneself, because it is contradictory for oneself to be what one should abandon. It is also not abandoned by another antidote, because there is no stronger power than the path of learning, and even the Buddha does not have wisdom. If you think that it is not abandoned by the antidote, but it will disappear by itself because the cause of habitual tendencies is exhausted, then what will abandon that habitual tendency itself? If you think that it will be abandoned by the wisdom of the extreme of continuity, then that is not acceptable to you, because the wisdom of the extreme of continuity is a deluded appearance, so it cannot abandon it, because it is the most difficult to abandon among all that should be abandoned. If those that are extremely difficult to abandon do not need an antidote and will disappear by themselves, then the above that should be abandoned are easy to abandon, so they will not need an antidote. In that case, without relying on cultivating the antidote, all sentient beings will inevitably become effortlessly liberated. If that wisdom of the extreme of continuity generates later awareness, then it contradicts the absence of awareness in the Buddha's realm. If it does not generate, then it contradicts the praise of the Dharmadhatu, which says that from the first ground to the Buddha's realm, the realization of the Dharmakaya increases, using the example of the moon from the first to the fifteenth day. The wisdom of the extreme of continuity, among wisdom and what should be abandoned, is what cuts off the continuity of what should be abandoned, but cutting off the continuity of wisdom is not appropriate, as the Praise of Dharmadhatu says: 'Just as water mixed with milk, remains in one container, the goose drinks the milk and discards the water, it remains the same. When it is covered by afflictions, even though the body of wisdom dwells as one, the yogi takes the wisdom, and discards what is not known.' Therefore. If you say that the body and wisdom, etc., are not included by one's own continuum, but are only the appearance of others, then what actually appears to someone on the path of accumulation, is that their mind? Or is it something other than that? If it is the former, then upon attaining the path of accumulation, all the wisdom of the ten powers, etc., and all the qualities of the form body, such as the marks and signs, will be completely perfected, because what appears to them is the mind of the person on the path of accumulation, and because the body and wisdom other than that, the Buddha, are not included by one's own continuum.
