It is said to see the analysis of terminology. There are two parts to the second: a brief explanation and a detailed explanation. The first is: the chariot itself, etc. Although the self cannot be found when searched for in five ways, it is shown from the perspective of relying on imputation, demonstrating the establishment of the meaning through an external example. Preventing the assembly and shape from being the chariot is to dispel doubts about the example itself, which is why this teacher added it. The second has two parts: establishing the example and applying it to the meaning. The first has three parts: if analyzed by the sevenfold reasoning, there is no substance; without analysis, the chariot is established from the world itself; showing the benefit of analyzing by the sevenfold reasoning. The first has two parts: mere assembly is not the chariot itself; the assembly shape is not the chariot itself. The first is: if mere assembly were to become a chariot, etc., since the five aspects have already been established, here it is necessary to analyze the aspect of assembly and the aspect of shape, thus showing the reasoning that hinders the assembly from being the chariot. The second has four parts: the assembly shape without limbs is not a chariot; the shape of each limb is also not a chariot; the shape of the assembly of limbs is also not a chariot; in this way, other similar things are also established in the same way. The first is: because there is no limb-possessor without limbs, there are no limbs, etc., this is to show that the opponent admits that the limb-possessor is not a substance, but the limbs are substances, which shows a contradiction in commitments. The second is: your shape, etc. The third is: because, etc., the assembly of limbs is not a substance, therefore it is contradictory to impute shape to it, this is to show that the opponent believes that the basis of imputation is truly existent, while the imputed dharma is nominally existent, and imputation is nominal, which shows a contradiction in commitments. If it is thought that an unreal shape is imputed to an unreal assembly, then please think of all dependently imputed things in this way. Some people write that the opponent admits that nominally existent things rely on a self-sufficient substance that exists as the basis of imputation, and also believes that assembly and shape are nominally existent, if they believe in the basis of imputation of assembly shape, then it is merely a contradiction and has no other effect, this is because some people in the commentary have misunderstood the meaning of the scriptures, believing that only the assembly of limbs exists, but not the limb-possessor, which is various

It is not the case that they all exist, which contradicts the opponent's admission that the limbs exist in external entities. The fourth point is, this and so on. Second, there are two ways in which a chariot is established solely through the unexamined world: when it is designated based on dependence, the name 'chariot' is established. In this way, the names 'possessor of limbs' and so on are established. The first case is, that is and so on. If the chariot is not found when searched for in seven ways, then the designation of the name 'chariot' in the world will be cut off. If that is the case, then 'Buy a chariot!' 'Sell a chariot!' 'Drive a chariot!' and so on will contradict what is seen. Therefore, if you say that because it is well-known in the world, chariots and so on should be said to exist, then this fault will only fall on you. Because the chariot is not found when searched for in seven ways, and you establish the chariot only after examining it in detail, and you have not admitted any other way of establishing it without examination. We do not have this fault, because we only admit that it is designated based on dependence without examining it in seven ways, so there is no fault of cutting off worldly names. That is to say, know that this reasoning prevents all the Prasangikas of Tibet today from not admitting any names, like the worldly materialists. The second case is, that itself and so on. Not only is the name 'chariot' established through being well-known in the world, but also the difference in this name, depending on the limbs, it is called 'possessor of limbs,' and depending on the parts, it is called 'possessor of parts,' and so on, all of which are shown to be established merely by designation based on being well-known in the world. If limbs and parts and the proximate are things, and the proximate is truly existent, and you think that the possessor of limbs and so on do not exist, then by that same reasoning you will not find the limbs and so on either, do not destroy the conventional truth of worldly renown! This is only to be refuted. Third, there are two benefits of examining with the sevenfold reasoning: showing entry into the meaning of reality, and showing the refutation of possessor of limbs and so on. The first case is, sevenfold and so on. The second case is, chariot and so on. When a chariot is broken, are the spokes and so on not visible? Why do you say that those limbs do not exist when there is no possessor of limbs? That is not the case.
