It exhausts the previously accumulated merits. It speaks of visible and invisible faults. The first is harm, etc. The second is why, etc. Here it is said that it destroys the virtue accumulated in a hundred kalpas, and the 'Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life' says that it destroys the virtue accumulated in a thousand kalpas, which comes from the 'Manjushri's Play Sutra' which says: Manjushri, anger, anger is called the destroyer of the virtue accumulated in a hundred kalpas, therefore it is called anger. And the 'Ratnakuta Sutra' says: What is anger? It is the state of burning the roots of virtue accumulated in a thousand kalpas. What is said is the intention of different sutras. Its intention is also here, both the support and the object are said to be Bodhisattvas, therefore the Bodhisattva's power is great, and it is clear that anger arises towards the weaker. In the chapter on the support it says: The Bodhisattva Mahasattva, and in the chapter on the object it says: To those who have generated the mind of enlightenment. Because of this. By the same reasoning, it can be established that the intention of the 'Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life' is that the Bodhisattva's power is small, and anger arises towards the stronger. If a non-Bodhisattva generates anger towards a Bodhisattva, then the ripening result is immeasurable. In the commentary it says: What need is there to say that a non-Bodhisattva generates anger towards Bodhisattvas? Just as the amount of water in the great ocean cannot be measured by weight, the limit of the ripening result cannot be determined. The third is unpleasantness, etc. The third is patience, etc. The fourth is each, etc. The fifth is perfect enlightenment, etc. The third, the way to obtain other qualities in that ground is: In that ground, etc. Here the sutra says: The bondage of desire, and the bondage of form, and the bondage of existence, and the bondage of ignorance will all be weakened, and wrong desire, and hatred and delusion will not be reduced but abandoned. In this Madhyamaka treatise, all the afflictions that cause ordinary beings to take birth in samsara, and the abandonment of cultivation by the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, without autonomy, the parts that cause birth in samsara have already been abandoned by the Bodhisattva's path of seeing.

Therefore, in the course of a Bodhisattva's path of meditation, one cultivates the elimination of afflictions of the third ground, which demonstrates the extent of eliminating afflictions. Some people think that the meaning of 15 "exhausted" is not completely exhausted, because the sutra says "weakened." The meaning of these, according to the Bodhisattva-bhumi's view, is that through the power of worldly meditation and formless concentration, attachment to the desire realm, form realm, and formless realm is separated, which is the abandonment of manifest afflictions as previously stated. Therefore, it is evident that it says "weakened." Bondage is also apparently explained from the Abhidharma. Explaining it this way is wrong, because if it is necessary to generate detachment from the desire realm, etc., through worldly meditation and the formless realm, then it would lead to the fault of not obtaining all nine successive concentrations on the first ground. Furthermore, worldly meditation and the formless realm cannot cause one to generate detachment from the formless realm. Believing that bondage is also explained from the Abhidharma indicates that they believe that afflictions explained from the Madhyamaka and afflictions explained from the Abhidharma exist separately in the continuum of the same person, which is the view of the sect and does not distinguish the actual situation of the meaning, as has been said before. Fourth, explaining the three common dharmas of generosity, etc., which are generosity, etc., this is directed towards Bodhisattvas who are householders, and discipline is also abandoning the ten non-virtuous actions. Fifth, explaining the qualities of the ground and showing the concluding summary, which is the kings, etc., the third ground is shown by the example of the sun's rays. The third generation of Bodhicitta has been explained. The fourth generation of Bodhicitta has four points: explaining the great qualities of diligence itself, showing the nature of the ground through excellent diligence, showing the definition of the ground through meditation experience, and separately establishing the differences of what is abandoned on that ground. The first is qualities, etc. The second is diligence, etc. The third is "there," etc., the light that is brighter than the light of copper is the light of meditation experience. The fourth is "self," etc., here the sutra says that the self-grasping and dharma-grasping of beings who are led by wrong views have been exhausted, the meaning of which is that although the essence has been abandoned from the first ground, here it is the exhaustion of afflictions, which is the same as what was said before. Some people think that 16 "exhausted"
