The first is contradiction, the second is opposition, and the third is both contradictory. The first has three types: the self-sustaining reason is meaningless, ineffective, and does not understand self-sustenance. The first case is: when you say that you have not stated the reason and example in the words of Buddhapālita, does this mean that you have not stated the self-sustaining reason and example? Or is it said according to what others know? If it is the former, then because it is not stated, saying "unreasonable" is contradictory, because the Samkhyas believe that your object arises from its own nature, the effect already exists in the cause, and it is considered to be the self-born, which is self-contradictory. Because the non-manifest pot and other objects exist in the nature of the cause, as the subject, birth is meaningless and endless, because its own essence exists as birth. Similarly, as the subject, arising from self is non-existent, because birth is meaningful and has an end. Thus, by stating the refutation of contradictory commitments, it is possible to prevent the wrong view that arises from self, and by preventing it, it is also possible to prevent the belief that there is self-nature arising, therefore, in this case, not stating the self-sustaining reason and example itself is established by reasoning. So, although the words of Buddhapālita stated the contradiction of commitment, how did the Samkhyas commit? The effect already exists in the cause, and it itself is the self-born, which means self-arising, so the reason for the first refutation and the exclusion of the second refutation are stated. If an existing thing arises, will it not become meaningless and endless? In response, the non-manifest thing becomes manifest, so it is meaningful, and it is not considered that the manifest thing will become more manifest, so it has an end. After saying this, the exclusion of the first refutation and the reason for the second refutation are committed. If the manifest thing becomes more manifest, what is the fault? In response, it is not seen that there is a need for something that is already manifestly present to arise again, and it is also seen that there is no end, thus the pervasion of the first refutation and the counter-pervasion of the second refutation are committed. The second case is: if the opponent cannot prevent the wrong view by arguing that it contradicts his own commitment, then at that time there is no shame, therefore it is both the self-sustaining reason and example.

also cannot refute, therefore Svatantrika has no power. Third, if one is a Madhyamika, then it is not reasonable to use one's own continuum's inference, because the other party has not accepted it. Thus it is said. The meaning here is, if one is a Madhyamika, it means when examining the ultimate truth, such as refuting self-origination. At that time, it is not reasonable to use Svatantrika inference to establish that things do not arise from themselves. If it is Svatantrika, then on the basis of the subject being established as common ground for both the proponent and opponent by any of the four valid means of conventional validity, such as direct perception, it is necessary to refute the opponent's self-origination and establish that one's own side has no self-origination. However, because the subject is not established in that way, the other party has not accepted the absence of self-origination from the other party, therefore it is said that Svatantrika is not accepted. As knowledge for this, Aryadeva said, "Existing and non-existing and existing-nonexisting," etc., one verse, and from the Refutation of Arguments, "If I have some vows," quoted two verses, it seems to lie in not accepting that the subject is established by conventional validity. Implicitly, at the time of conventional designation, because the subject is established by conventional validity, it shows that there is Svatantrika. Furthermore, although the subject of a peacock is established by conventional validity, it is said that it will not become Svatantrika because things are not established by the validity of force-entry, which must also be eliminated. Some say that the meaning here is that it is not reasonable to establish the Svatantrika reason of establishing other-origination after refuting self-origination, because from the perspective of self-origination, the other party has not accepted other-origination either. Others say that it is not reasonable to infer the Svatantrika that establishes what is established by its own characteristics, because the other party has not accepted what is established by its own characteristics. Both of these statements are unreasonable, because this is the time to examine whether the Svatantrika that refutes self-origination is reasonable. At that time, no one has ever made the Svatantrika that establishes other-origination after refuting self-origination, and the dharma that is established by its own characteristics. Second, in this case, it is contradictory to say that it is unreasonable because the establishment of establishment and the fault of contradictory reason spoken by the Samkhya school have not been eliminated, because those two faults are the internal aggregates, etc.
