If it is thought that this is the time to examine the situation of the subject of the argument, then even truly established things can be refuted, which contradicts the distinction of what is to be refuted. It is necessary to acknowledge after refuting with reason, and there is also no distinction between acknowledging oneself and acknowledging on one's own side. For the latter two, since there is no basis for refutation, establishing a dharma established by its own characteristics with a sign of its own continuum is either not examined or not found even if examined. If I have some commitments, etc., there is no fault because there is no sect that admits to being established by its own characteristics, although there are times when it needs to be explained, but that is not the main thing, because in the Prasannapadā it says: When examining the situation of the subject of the argument, since the subject of the argument is not established by the four valid cognitions such as direct perception, on the basis of admitting that, no characteristics of refutation and establishment are admitted. This well harms the non-acceptance of self-continuum in nominal establishment. When establishing that a mountain has fire with the sign of smoke, and when establishing that others are awakened or non-returning with the sign of body and speech, are those subjects of argument established or not established by any of the four valid cognitions such as direct perception? If it is like the first case, it contradicts the absence of self-continuum, because if some things are determined by things such as direct perception, then establishment should also be overturned, because there is no that, so I have no accusation. The establishment or overturning in this case is self-continuum, which is the meaning of the treatise, and one admits it oneself. If it is not established, then those subjects of argument do not exist even in name, because they are not established by any of the four valid cognitions that measure names. Furthermore, the Prasannapadā says that things that exist in direct perception such as vases are established by direct perception, and when you establish names, you think that the subject of argument is not established by valid cognition, please consider whether this is contradictory. If the meaning of autonomy and self-continuum is the same, the meaning of autonomy is not based on the admission of the opponent, but on the establishment of any of the four valid cognitions spoken by the proponent himself, then when establishing that a mountain has fire, it must be admitted that smoke cannot be denied as autonomy and self-continuum. If you don't do that, then the refutation is also the proponent's own name.

It is not established by valid cognition, but relies on the promises of others, and is the same in all aspects. Because it is asserted that things are established by their own nature, it is very unreasonable for the opponent not to assert the reason and the thesis of self-nature before the thesis is established. Because in that case, it would be impossible for him to assert the reason and the thesis of self-nature, because after the thesis is established, he would no longer assert the reason and the thesis of self-nature. When establishing that a sprout does not have a nature established by its own entity with the reason of dependent arising, it is unreasonable to say that the former opponent promises that the sprout is dependent arising. If so, the subject of the sprout, and the reason of dependent arising promised on it, then it is inevitable to become the reason of self-nature. Although Prasangikas can show the way of establishing by valid cognition without relying on each other's promises, but because it is a valid cognition established by the power of name and term, the meaning of "should not be self-nature", if that valid cognition is any of the four valid cognitions such as direct perception mentioned in the commentary, then it is inevitable to become self-nature. Other than that, the valid cognition of measuring terms is not explained in the Madhyamaka treatises of the two fathers and sons. In the continuum where the view has not been found, the grasping that does not distinguish between existence and non-existence by its own entity, like a sprout, is also contrary to the Madhyamaka treatises. Like the meaning of "The body dwells in the power of the body as it is, and delusion migrates to all places." If it is the conceptual thought that holds the sprout in the continuum where the view has not been found, then it pervades the thought that holds the sprout as true. Furthermore, in his continuum, there should be a grasping that holds the sprout as non-existent by its own entity. Because in his continuum, there is a co-emergent valid cognition that establishes the sprout as a term of dependent arising. The reason has been promised, because in his continuum, there are two valid cognitions that measure it and the existence of things by their own entity mixed together. Therefore, saying that these two are mixed and indistinguishable in the continuum of the external opponent seems to be a random statement without a target. In order to establish that sound is impermanent, in the opponent's continuum, there is the imputation of holding sound as permanent, and the understanding that sound is impermanent.
