Inverted and non-inverted are distinct. Therefore, when someone with cataracts, like seeing hairs, grasps what is non-existent as existent through inversion, how could even a small part of what has become existent be perceived at that time? When someone without cataracts, like seeing hairs, does not falsely impute what is untrue through non-inversion, how could even a small part of what has become non-existent in conventional truth be perceived at that time? It is said. Because inverted and non-inverted are distinct, therefore, in the state of non-inversion, since inversion does not exist, how can something that becomes a subject of dharma be considered conventional truth? It is said. The meaning of these words is that, having abandoned the distinction between definitive and provisional meanings, and holding only the eyes etc. as subjects of dharma, as a response to this, the Virtuous One himself admitted that the nature of the subject of dharma, such as the eyes, etc., is not obtained merely through inversion, and refuted it by showing the difference between inversion and non-inversion, which are contradictory, etc. The meaning of those words is that it is not permissible to merely posit the eyes etc. as the subject of dharma to prove that the eyes etc. do not arise from themselves, because the valid cognition that measures the subject of dharma is non-inverted wisdom, so in its object, since there is no inversion existing by its own nature, there is no false appearance that appears there. What the previous reason admitted is that it admitted that all existent things exist by their own nature. Thus it is explained. This is to accuse the Virtuous One of admitting true establishment, and to explain Chandrakirti's commentary in an inverted way. Obtaining the nature of things merely through inversion is bound to deteriorate, which he himself admitted. The meaning of this statement is that the Virtuous One generally admitted that the nature of the subject of dharma, such as the eyes, etc., is not obtained through inversion, but through non-inversion. If, in this case, the cessation of production is considered the dharma to be established, then at that time, it is meaningless to mention the special circumstances of its basis, the subject of dharma, etc. If the cessation of production is not made the dharma to be established, then
