and also say that it is not non-empty. Therefore, it is said for the sake of imputation." Thus it is said. The Blessed One said, "With what intention is emptiness and so on shown? That should be understood from my own investigation." Thus it is said. What is the need to show it in such an order? In the Clear Words, it says that all that the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, have shown is a means of entering the nectar of Suchness. The Tathagatas do not speak words that are not a means of entering the nectar of Suchness, just like medicine that is compatible with the disease, etc., because they want to take care of the beings to be subdued, so they show it in a way that is appropriate. As it is said in the Hundred Treatises: "Existence and non-existence, and existence and non-existence, and neither of the two have been taught. Because of disease, everything, does it not become medicine?" Thus it is said. As it is said, it should be known that in the end, it is for the sake of entering the nectar of emptiness, which is free from all proliferation. Third, if it is shown to the trainees with characteristics and so on, what is the characteristic? The characteristic of ultimate truth is freedom from proliferation. Here, there are three ways: identifying the meaning of freedom from proliferation, proving that freedom from proliferation is the ultimate meaning, and establishing freedom from proliferation as the characteristic of ultimate truth. First, here, the term "proliferation" does not only refer to true entities or non-affirming negatives, but to all characteristics of phenomena of negation and affirmation in which the mind engages and scatters, such as in the sutra: "Form is empty, one should not proliferate or scatter in it." And, "As much as the mind engages, that much is proliferation." And, in the explanation of "Proliferation is pacified, it is peaceful," the Clear Words says: "Here, proliferation, that is, all characteristics, whatever is pacified, that is, whatever does not engage, that is Nirvana." Therefore. In the explanation of "Knowing not from others," etc., it says: "Proliferation is speech, because it expands all meanings. What is not expanded by proliferation is what cannot be expressed by speech." This is its definition. And in the explanation of "Those Buddhas have transcended proliferation," "Proliferation is

If there is a reason for something real, then the Tathagata has no real thing, how can elaborations exist? Therefore, the Tathagata is beyond elaborations. And, at the end of the earlier commentary, about four identifications of elaborations appear, although all four sides have not escaped from elaborations, this is done in accordance with the identification of elaborations in the situation at hand. The meaning of being separated from this is that the elaborations of existence and non-existence, etc., seen in illusion, are empty in their own nature from the beginning. The way of explaining from the perspective of terminology also has three ways of explaining: from the perspective of one's own nature, from the perspective of the object-possessor, and from the perspective of action. The first is, as stated in the sutra: "The essence is emptiness of nature, and emptiness from the beginning." This refers to the state of being separated from the Dharma of negation and affirmation, and nothing can be found. The sutra says: "Emptiness is the supreme term that is separate from all Dharmas." Also, just as saying space space, space is unspeakable, similarly, although emptiness is said, emptiness is unspeakable. This is more excellent than the ultimate truth that those who think things exist. The second is: "What is said is reversed, the object of mind is reversed." This is shown by transcending the object of examples, sounds, and consciousness. In the Sutra on the Two Truths, it says: "The ultimate truth is unindicatable, unspeakable, unknowable, and even beyond the realm of the wisdom of omniscience." This eliminates the misconception that one can indicate the ultimate truth through sound and understand it by making it an object of consciousness. The third is that they are all the basis of dependence, the nature of Dharma that has the same taste as Dharma. In the Ratnagotravibhāga, just as all container worlds depend on space, it is said that all Dharmas such as aggregates originate from the nature of the mind. The sutra says: "All Dharmas are one characteristic, namely, no characteristic." And, since the emptiness of Dharmas has no difference in essence, there are no two classifications. And, "In this, there is nothing to be abandoned and accepted." Therefore, the path is uncultivable. Since the nature of sentient beings and Buddhas is no different, becoming a Buddha
