Combined with established reasoning and scriptural authority. First, these appearances are not inherently existent, because they are separate from one and many, like reflections. Second, the three meanings of subject, predicate, and reason must be ascertained. First, if the subject here is posited as the general collection of all appearances, it will not be established; if some particulars are posited, the imputation of truth to others cannot be severed, so the pervasive emptiness will not be established. If it is understood in this way, it is not so, because merely positing the general appearance, it is established by nominal direct perception on each particular. For it, the imputation of being truly existent is actually refuted, so for all particulars, the imputation of being truly existent is also refuted by implication. Therefore, it will not become a partial emptiness. Also, in some cases, the basis on which the opponent's wrong conception has arisen is taken as the subject, such as in the Mind-Only school, the non-dual consciousness is taken as the subject. For this, before the initial debate has begun, the subject is accepted, and after the subsequent debate has begun, until the inference of realizing the predicate has not arisen, accepting the subject is the meaning of nominal truth as a means, which has been said before. All the reasons that will be explained should be applied in the same way. The Svatantrika is that the subject is accepted when the initial debate has begun and the subsequent debater has arisen with inference, which is the distinction of the Svatantrika. Second, is the appearance of non-inherent existence a non-affirming negation, or is the non-inherent existence an affirming negation as the predicate? According to the former, the non-affirming negation will become the ultimate truth; according to the latter, the intellect will not measure the generality of the subject and predicate, so it will become a non-inference. If so, it is not reasonable for some to make the non-affirming negation the predicate, because the appearance is not established in the intellect, so the non-affirming negation associated with it is not established in the intellect. Gyaton said that although appearance and collection do not exist in the ultimate truth, non-inherent existence itself is established as a non-affirming negation, which is also unreasonable, because if it is established by reasoning such as "there are some men who are slightly existent," then it is not necessary. So what should it be? The affirming negation that is not established even in the mere ultimate non-inherent existence should be made the predicate.

Therefore, one must not cling to the appearance of intellectual cognition. But this will not turn into a negation of appearance, because it is acknowledged within the scope of conventional terms. Third, it is divided into establishing the subject-property and establishing pervasion. The first part has three points: identifying the one and the many to be negated, how to negate it on appearance, and eliminating objections to the negation. First, the false one and many are those with parts, and the true one and many are those without parts. A one with parts will become accompanied, because if analyzed, the meaning of one does not exist. The false one, etc., contradicts the true many. Here, merely the one and many in name are not to be negated, because in the sense of ultimate and conventional, there are many names for one and many. Therefore, the one and many that are established through intellectual analysis are to be negated. Second, it is divided into negating the true "one," and thereby demonstrating that the true "many" is excluded. The first part also has two points: negating the coarse, part-possessing one, and negating the existence of a subtle part that constitutes it. First, other schools believe that, like a human body, it pervades all parts, and therefore is one, and therefore is permanent; they say that the coarse, part-possessing one with these three qualities is one. This is unreasonable, because the part-possessing body is ultimately many parts, and is inseparable from them, therefore it will become many. Like sesame seeds in different containers. Second, some of our own school believe that the coarse, part-possessing one is not established, but the matter of indivisible atoms that constitute it, and the consciousness of indivisible moments that constitute the stream of mind, are truly existing ones. To this, first negate by analyzing the parts of the place, and second by analyzing the parts of time. The first part also has three points: negating by observing contact and non-contact, by observing seeing and not seeing, and by observing length and shortness. First, when constituting the coarse, do the central atoms contact or not contact the surrounding atoms? If the former, if all of itself contacts, then the surrounding atoms will merge into the central place, therefore
