It depends on the edge of. The mutual dependence of body and life is implied, and it will be clear below when it is said what this is and what that is when it is prevented. Second, since all things are empty of their own nature, what is finite and what is infinite? What is both finite and infinite, and what is neither finite nor infinite? It is not established, because it is empty of its own nature. Furthermore, what is the one that is the same as the body and life, and what are the two that are different? It is not established, because it is empty of its own nature. Furthermore, what is permanent and what is impermanent? What is both permanent and impermanent? What is neither permanent nor impermanent? It is not established, because it is empty of its own nature. Third, to dispel the faults spoken by others, if there is no nirvana, then teaching the Dharma to attain nirvana becomes meaningless, if you say so. That is just a nominal term, but from the ultimate truth, the Buddha has not taught any Dharma to anyone in any place, because in the ultimate truth, all objects of perception are pacified, the proliferation of language is pacified, and the movement of the mind is pacified, therefore. Second, combining with the scriptures, the end of the Mahayana Sutra says: There is no nirvana in nirvana, which is taught by the protector of the world, just as the knot of space is untied, it is untied by space itself. And, in the Brahma's Questions, it is also said: World Honored One, for those who think that some Dharma arises or ceases, the appearance of the Buddha does not exist. World Honored One, those who think that samsara is real, they are not those who are liberated from samsara. Why? World Honored One, what is called nirvana is that all characteristics are completely pacified and all discriminations cease. World Honored One, foolish people, after leaving home from the well-spoken Dharma discipline, fall into the views of non-Buddhists, just like looking for ghee from sesame and sesame oil and milk, they seek nirvana from reality. World Honored One, those who seek nirvana in the complete pacification of all dharmas are arrogant people, they are non-Buddhists, so I say.

Those who have entered properly into the practice of non-regressing yoga do not cause any dharma to arise or cease, nor do they seek to attain or realize any dharma. Thus it is said. Third, showing the name of the chapter: In the commentary on the Root Wisdom of the Middle Way, "The Light of Correct View," it is called "Examination of Nirvana," which is the explanation of the twenty-fifth chapter. Second, there are three parts to explaining the dependent origination that is the basis of distinction: First, the connection of the chapter: As mentioned above, "Whatever is dependently originated is said to be emptiness." And, "Whoever sees dependent origination sees suffering, its origin, its cessation, and the path." Thus, it is said that seeing dependent origination is seeing the reality of the four noble truths. What is this dependent origination? The answer is: Therefore, the nature of dependent origination is explained. Second, there are two parts to the text of the explanation: First, there are three parts to establishing it with reason: Explaining in detail the principle of the arising of dependent origination. The way in which it engages and reverses. Briefly showing the reversal of dependent origination. The first has two parts: the cause and effect that draws forth, and the cause and effect that accomplishes. The first has two parts: the cause that draws forth, and the effect that is drawn forth. The first is: Because children are obscured by ignorance, they engage in actions of merit, non-merit, and immovability with body, speech, and mind in order to take rebirth. By those good and bad actions that have been done, they go to the beings of the six realms, and then, with the condition of action, they cause consciousness to enter into the consciousness of those who go. The second is: After consciousness has entered the womb, the aggregates of name and form arise. Thus, after name and form have arisen, the six sense sources, such as the eye, arise from them. Relying on the six sense sources, contact arises from them. If asked, how does contact arise? What is its nature? The answer is: Relying on the eye as the dominant condition, form as the objective condition, and the consciousness that remembers as the immediately preceding condition, eye consciousness arises.

If that is the case, then immediately, relying on the aggregates of the causal name, the dominant condition, and the objective condition of form, eye consciousness will arise, and that is the way it arises. Its essence is the combination of the eye, form, and consciousness, which completely cuts off the change of the object, and that is contact. From contact, all kinds of feelings such as pleasure and pain will arise. Third, craving arises from the cause of feeling, because craving arises for the sake of feeling. That is, for the feeling of happiness, there is craving not to be separated; for suffering, there is craving to be separated; for indifference, there is craving not to disappear. If craving arises, then desire will be taken, views will be taken, holding precepts and asceticism as supreme will be taken, and speaking of self will be taken, and these four kinds of taking will arise. If these four kinds of taking exist, then by the cause of the one who takes these four, existence will arise greatly, if by the power of discriminating wisdom, these takings are abandoned and non-existent, then liberation from samsara will occur, therefore existence will not arise. So what is existence? Existence is also the five aggregates, and existence here is the existence of karma, and among the three karmas of body, speech, and mind, the two karmas of body and speech are the form aggregate, and the karma of mind is included in the other four aggregates. Although the Sutra School denies that the karma of body and speech is form, and considers it to be consciousness, this treatise and Acharya Chandrakirti say that the two karmas of body and speech are form. Here, the commentary 'Clear Words' says: 'Among them, the karma of body and speech is the nature of the form aggregate, and the karma of mind is the nature of the four aggregates, so it should be known that existence is the five aggregates.' Fourth, from existence arises the aggregates of the next life, the aging of the aggregates maturing, the death of the aggregates disintegrating, and the suffering and sorrow of the heart accompanied by attachment at the time of death, and the wailing from the mouth caused by sorrow, and the suffering that harms the five senses, and the sorrow that harms the consciousness, all these sufferings will arise.
