If someone asks: Would this not become a wrong view that slanders causality? Even if inherent existence is negated, in conventional terms, the agent and the action are not unreasonable. For example, the emanation of the teacher, the perfectly complete Buddha, emanates with the perfection of miraculous powers, and that emanation also emanates other emanations. Similarly, although the agent does not exist inherently, in conventional terms, the ability to act is like an emanation. Although the action he performs does not exist inherently, in conventional terms, it can produce a result, just as an emanation emanates another emanation. Second, this can also be established through examples that are famous in the world, namely, afflictions such as desire, and the actions that arise from them, and their resultant bodies, and the agent of action, the inexpressible self, and the ripening, and the owner, and the results of similar causes, although these do not exist inherently, in conventional terms, they appear to arise dependently, like a city of gandharvas, like a mirage, like a dream. Second, in connection with the scriptures, as it is said in the sutra: 'Because the Sugata teaches all the words, the protector is compassionate to beings. The Victorious One emanates various emanations there, and they also teach the excellent Dharma of the Buddha. Hundreds of thousands of sentient beings hear this, and pray to aspire to the supreme wisdom of the Buddha. When will we obtain this wisdom? Knowing their thoughts, the Victorious One declares. Whoever invites the Victorious One, the king of men, his generosity is without limit, and he obtains immeasurable excellent things.' Some people therefore generate faith. The sutra speaks extensively. The way of teaching should be understood as before. Third, in the commentary on the Root Wisdom of the Middle Way, the Light of Correct View, the seventeenth chapter called "Examination of Action and Result" is explained. Third, there are three ways to enter into suchness, the first is the connection of the treatise: Thus, how afflictions, actions, and bodies appear, this is not suchness, like a city of gandharvas, etc., although it is not suchness, it is the nature of suchness.
