It speaks of producing fruit. Considering that the first two have already been refuted, the glorious Chandrakirti refuted the latter in the Entering the Middle Way, saying, "The nature of wisdom is not self-born here," and "It is said in the Entering the Middle Way that self-nature is not extinguished," the point is the same. Therefore, the meaning that karma is extinguished nominally but not extinguished by nature is that karma is not non-existent until the fruit is produced, because if it were non-existent, it would become annihilation. Nor is it existent, because if it were existent, it would become permanent. Therefore, there is no need for other connections between karma and fruit, because it is not admitted that there is no karma in between. Those who do not understand this point and claim to be Tibetan Madhyamikas think that it is necessary to connect them with decaying things in between, which is even inferior to the previous three. The refutation and establishment have been explained in detail in the difficult commentary on the Entering the Middle Way. The second part is divided into two points: revealing the harm to self-existence, and refuting the defense of self-establishment. The first part is divided into two points: refuting with the fault of non-action, and refuting with the fault of endless maturation. The first point is: if the reason that karma has no self-nature is not established, if karma has self-nature, then karma will undoubtedly become permanent, because karma is self-existent. If it is admitted, then karma becomes not created, because for permanent dharmas, there is no difference that did not exist before. If it is thought that karma is not created, then even if one does not commit the karma of the five heinous crimes, one will face the fear of encountering its consequences. Even if one does not engage in the non-brahmacharya of a renunciate, it is necessary, then abiding in brahmacharya is not the fault of not creating karma, and there is no doubt that all worldly expressions such as "make a pot" will also contradict it, because all these fruits exist even if they are not created. For those who only do good and only do evil, distinguishing them in order as virtuous and sinful, that is, distinguishing good and bad, is also unreasonable, because there are uncreated sins and merits. The second point is: if karma has self-nature, then this karma will produce maturation again and again after the maturation has ripened.

Therefore. Because karma exists in the past and continues to exist. Secondly, there are three points: refuting the cause - afflictions, refuting the result - the body, and refuting the enjoyer of the ripening. The first point is: If it is said that karma exists by its own nature, because the sutra says "Conditioned by ignorance, there is action; conditioned by grasping, there is existence," therefore there is its cause - affliction. Answer: Those afflictions are not truly existent, because they arise dependently. If those afflictions are not truly existent, then how can karma be truly existent? Because this karma has the nature of affliction and arises dependent on it. The second point is: If it is said that karma and affliction exist by their own nature, because there is its result - the body. Answer: For the body, as a subject, how can it be said to exist by its own nature? Because the body is empty of karma and affliction. This is pervasive, because the sutra says that karma and affliction are the cause of bodies. The third point is: If it is thought that karma and affliction exist by their own nature, because there is an enjoyer of the ripening. Answer: The enjoyer of the ripening is not established by its own nature, because the being whose eye is obscured by ignorance with correct view and wisdom, whoever has craving is the enjoyer. Moreover, the enjoyer is not a different entity from the previous doer of karma, nor is it the doer of karma itself. If it is said that there is an enjoyer who cannot be said to be the same or different, therefore karma exists. Answer: The enjoyer is also not established by its own nature, because this karma has been prevented from being examined for conditions, so it is not born from conditions, and because it is too much to become without cause, so it is also not born from non-conditions. Therefore, the doer of karma also does not exist. If karma and the doer do not exist, then how can the result born from karma exist? If the result does not exist, then how can there be an enjoyer or consumer of the result? Because it is not established. Thirdly, there are two examples to illustrate how to establish in name even though there is no self-nature: examples famous in treatises, and examples famous in the world. The first is: If that is the case, then "The karmas I have done, I will experience individually," so the relationship between karma and result mentioned in the sutra is completely refuted, then the result
