The earth and other dharmas are not established by their own nature as mere things, because if there were pervasive nature and other things, things could be established, but nature and other things are not established. The pervasion is, where else is there a thing other than nature and other things? Because there is none. Second, even if it is not established as a thing, if one thinks that it is established merely as a non-thing, then the inner and outer dharmas are not established merely as non-things either, because if the thing was previously negated and not established. The pervasion is, in the world, the object to be negated has become another thing, and people say that what is destroyed or negated is called a non-thing. Third, the criticism of viewing negation as the ultimate meaning is that those of our own school who speak of things, who think that form is what can become form, feeling is what can be experienced, and so on, and that form is different from mind and mental factors, and that mind and mental factors are also different from form, and that those three, or only mind and mental factors, are things, or that past, future, and non-associated formations are not things, or that the two, grasper and grasped, are not things themselves, those people have not seen the true nature of the profound dependent arising in the Buddha's teachings as it is, because the establishment of those four extremes has already been previously negated. Fourth, the combination of negation with scripture is that those four extremes are not established because the Bhagavan, having truly known how the nature of things and non-things exists, has become a reliable person, and that is his intention, because in the Katyayana's Instruction, which is accepted as scripture by all of his schools, it is said that both the views of existence and non-existence are rejected for those who desire liberation. Katyayana, because this world mostly clings to existence and non-existence, therefore he will not be completely liberated from birth, old age, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, displeasure, and disturbance. Second, the detailed refutation of other-transformation on self-nature is divided into two: the actual refutation and the defense against the refutation. First

If things like the heat of fire exist by their own nature, then that thing is the subject, and it will never become non-existent, because it exists by its own nature. Pervasive: Because it is contradictory for self-nature to change into something else, it will never be reasonable. Second: Things are the subject, by what do they change into something else? It becomes without other changes, because no self-nature exists. If it is said to be like a flower in the sky, then according to your view, things are the subject, how can they change into something else? It becomes impossible to change into something else, because it exists by its own nature, or like a cloudless sky. Third, combining the view of the Middle Way that is free from extremes with the teachings: Taking the wise teacher as the standard, when one's own school analyzes, one should not dwell on the views of existence and non-existence, because when analyzing, it is established that it is free from both existence and non-existence. Therefore, clinging to existence will become clinging to permanence; clinging to non-existence will become viewing it as annihilation. And these two are the cause of good and bad destinies, therefore they are the cause of samsara. Fourth, identifying the two extremes to be abandoned: What are the two extremes of permanence and annihilation? According to your view, any internal or external thing, if it exists by its own nature, then it will become permanent, because it will never be non-existent. That thing that exists by its own nature, if it does not exist in the second moment, or is interrupted, then it will become annihilation, because it was previously produced by its own nature, and now, that is, later, it is non-existent, therefore it is like that. This is the permanence and annihilation analyzed through the tenets, so it is not even acknowledged in conventional terms. What is said in the praise is the permanence and annihilation famous in the world, so one should know the difference that is acknowledged in conventional terms. The second is combining with the scriptures: The Bhagavan said: "All are inconceivable, all are unborn, by knowing the nature of existence and non-existence, one attains peace. All those who are childish, who are controlled by the mind, will suffer for hundreds of thousands of kalpas." And similarly: "In countless past kalpas, I remember the lord of men, who was the boat of the great sage, whose name came from non-existence. As soon as he was born
