第一是:缘起的梵语是:Pratītya(प्रतीत्य, प्रतीत्य,依靠),Samutpāda(समुत्पाद,समुत्पाद,生起)。对此,有立宗,解释词义,以及破斥其他宗派,共有三个方面。第一是:

The teacher himself said: Offering homage to the teacher by composing treatises is not meaningless. It is not for any other reason than to generate respect for the treatises and the teacher. Thus he spoke. Secondly, the condensed meaning is: With what, to whom, and how is homage offered? There are three aspects. Thirdly, the meaning of the words is taken as the basis for explaining "I prostrate." Regarding this, with what, to whom, and how is prostration made? There are three aspects. The first is: The author, the teacher Nāgārjuna, I, is obtained in meaning. The second has three aspects: the essence, the supreme, and the reason for it. The first is: The worthy refuge, the chief of the Jewels, the perfect Buddha, that is to whom I prostrate. In general, the term Buddha applies to all three Arhats of the three vehicles. However, because it is said "perfect," it is distinguished from the Hearers and Solitary Realizers who have not perfected abandonment and realization, and is the eleventh, the All-Illuminating Ground. The second is: If one wonders what special qualities it possesses, it is said to be "the supreme of speakers." A speaker is one who explains the meaning they have realized to others. Furthermore, speakers are worldly, non-Buddhist, and Buddhist teachers. Unlike other teachers, their motivation is compassion, their essence is pleasing and gentle, what is said is truth, the result is beneficial, it is appropriate for those to be tamed, it arises at the right time, and it answers all questions. It becomes supreme because it is distinguished by these seven distinctions. Therefore, it is also called "lion of speakers," "moon of speakers," "chief of speakers," and "king of speakers." The third is: By teaching what does it become the supreme of speakers? By teaching dependent origination, it becomes the supreme of speakers. Regarding this, there are three aspects: the nature of dependent origination to be taught, the way in which teaching it makes one the supreme of speakers, and the necessity of teaching it. The first aspect also has three aspects: the basis of distinction, the basis of the qualities of distinction, and the consideration of the oneness and otherness of phenomena. The first is: The Sanskrit term for dependent origination is Pratītya (प्रतीत्य, pratītya, relying on), Samutpāda (समुत्पाद, samutpāda, arising). Regarding this, there are three aspects: establishing the term, explaining the meaning of the term, and refuting other systems. The first is:

The root is taken as "Iṇa 'gro ba lao". The letter ṇa is the special meaning of "Pan la Iṇa Ing dag gi ga mi'o", so it is omitted. The near antonym "Pra ti" is placed in front. For negating "A lam kha lu dag", the suffix "ktvā" can also be used. Starting from the noun. "Byed pa po gcig dag gi snga ma'i dus lao" therefore gives the suffix "ktvā". The meaning of the letter ka is "ka la yaṇa bzhin yang ste". It appears in the abbreviation, and is not the yab bo of "ktvā" which is not two na. Therefore, take tva as yab. The meaning of the letter ba is "the end of the root sa is connected to ta'o", so it is omitted. Therefore, give ta āgama. The letter ti'i i does not exceed the order and appears immediately. Similar letters become long, and are also omitted elsewhere. Therefore, the first i becomes long, and the second is omitted. For words that express meaning, it is the first case. Therefore, give the singular form si of the first case. Destruction from other things. Also from imperishable things. Therefore, si is destroyed, because the suffix of "ktvā" is imperishable. When a silent consonant is brought to the following letter, it is "pratītya". In addition, take "para 'gro ba lao" as the root, and place the near antonyms "sa ma" and "ut" in front. The letter a at the end of the root expresses meaning, so it is omitted. The words "pad, btsa, biś, pṛś, uca" etc. are given the suffix "ghaña". The letter ña is the special meaning of "grub pa ña ṇa is connected to ica", so it is omitted. Therefore, the āi upadhā of "in ic aṭ" etc. becomes long, and te nāmi etc. also increase. Therefore, pa'i a becomes long. The letter gha'i a does not exceed the order and appears immediately. The letter gha is the special meaning of "ca ja etc.'s dhūṭa gha is connected to ka", so it is omitted. For words that express meaning, it is the first case. Therefore, give si. The letter si'i i is the special meaning of "for si is nu'o", so it is omitted. "The distinction between re pha and sa etc." therefore distinguishes sa. When a silent consonant is brought to the following letter, it is "samutpādaḥ". The second is "pratītyasamutpādaḥ". "Prati" means encounter. "Iti" means to go. Here, the root of the near antonym is suppressed. "Pratītya", therefore it expresses the encounter itself. Although the root of the word is powerful.
