If one applies justice to the weak, then, definition is not applicable to something that did not exist before, because if there is no definition, applying a definition is contradictory. Applying it to something that already possesses a definition is also inappropriate, because this would lead to meaninglessness and irrelevance. Applying it to something that is neither with definition nor without definition is also impossible, because these two are directly opposed, and a third case is impossible. Second, even so, definition is not applicable, if one thinks that the base, space, exists, then according to the previously stated reasoning, if definition is not applicable, the base is also not established, because the base is the support of the definition. Second, if you prevent the definition from applying to the base, but do not prevent the definition itself, therefore thinking that the definition exists, then according to the previously stated reasoning, space as the base is not established, therefore, the definition that is relied upon is also non-existent, because there is no support. Third, because the application of definition is not established, therefore, space as the base does not exist, because there is no supporting base, so its definition itself is non-existent. Second, regarding the non-establishment of things and non-things: For the Vaibhashikas who say that space is an unconditioned thing, space cannot be a thing, because it is separated from both base and definition. This is pervasive, because things other than base and definition also do not exist. For the Sutrantikas who say that space cannot perform a function, therefore thinking that it is not a thing, space is a dharma, and it is also not established as merely the nature of non-thing, because the thing to be negated does not exist. This is pervasive, if the thing to be negated itself does not exist, then the negation of negating it, that non-thing, would become the negation of what thing to be negated? Because there is no thing to be negated. Just like the son in a dream does not exist, so his death is not real. If so, because there exists a person who examines things and non-things, so the things and non-things that he examines also exist, then, the examiner of those two is also non-existent, if he exists, then what would the person who has become the opposing side of things and non-things use to understand or examine the things and non-things to be examined?
