Therefore, the Samkhyas think that sprouts and cloths, etc., are produced from the nature of seeds and flax, etc. Therefore, the idea of whether the result exists in the cause or not does not arise. Because those causes do not have the nature of self or own-being, they are merely imputed in dependence on their own parts, which must have many parts of space and time. Therefore, all causes, the subject of the proposition, how can the result be the nature of the cause? It should not be, because the causes themselves are not the real self, because the own-being is not established. Like the son of a barren woman. Again, if, as in the second case, something that is not the nature of those causes arises from those causes, then the result that is not the nature of the cause does not exist, because if sprouts and cloths, etc., are not the nature of the cause's seeds and flax, then, since it is not a cause, it contradicts the nature of fire and thatch, etc. The third case is that if a non-existent result arises from a cause, then it will also arise from something that is not a cause. That's what you say. Therefore, since there is a certainty of cause and non-cause, it is thought that the result, which is the basis of that, also exists. Then, how can the non-cause and the cause that depend on that result exist? They should not exist, because they do not exist. We say that only in accordance with the common parlance of the world. If we analyze, since the production is prevented by preventing the result from existing in the cause or not, and whether the result is the nature of the cause, the result does not exist. Secondly, combining with scripture. As it is said in the Holy Source of Jewels Sutra: Wherever there is emptiness and no awareness, it is like the sky, like the traces of birds in the sky. Wherever there is no own-being, that will never be the cause of another. Whose own-being cannot be found, without own-being, how can it be the cause of another? Without own-being, how can another produce anything? That cause is taught by the Sugata. All dharmas are also unmoving, abiding firmly, unchanging, harmless, and peaceful. Just as the sky has no awareness, so ignorant beings become foolish. Just as the mountains do not move, so all dharmas can never move. There is no death or transference,

The Dharma of no arising, thus the Victorious One has well proclaimed. Such as, and similarly: What Dharma has no birth and no arising, No death, no change, and no aging. The Lion of Men shows it there, And places hundreds of thousands of sentient beings in it. In what there is no self-nature whatsoever, Nor is it other, nor is it found in time. Not within, nor without, In those, the Protector places those who are difficult to find. Although the Sugata speaks of the peaceful going, No going is ever found, He speaks of those as liberated from going. Having liberated, he liberates many sentient beings. The meaning of what is said like this is proven by reason. The third is to show the name of the chapter: Called "Examination of Conditions" from the Commentary on the Root Wisdom of the Middle Way, The Light of True View, which is the explanation of the first chapter. Second, refuting going and coming has three parts. The first part concerns the connection of the chapter: Thus, in examining conditions, by showing that dependent arising has no birth, although the absence of going and so on is indirectly established, in order to directly establish the absence of going and coming, which is especially famous in the world, it is necessary to state the reasons that are extremely established to others. Thinking thus, in order to directly refute going and coming from oneself, this chapter is spoken. Second, the text of this chapter has two parts: First, establishing by reason has two parts: Explaining in detail the reasoning that prevents going and coming, Briefly showing the reasoning. The first has five parts: Examining actions in the three times and refuting them, Examining agents in three categories and refuting them, Refuting the proof of going and coming, Examining the act of going and the goer as one and different and refuting them, Examining the act of going as one and different and refuting them. The first has two parts: Generally refuting going on the three paths, Specifically refuting going on the path being traversed. The first is: The act of going is accomplished by action and agent, therefore it must be pervaded by both action and agent, and the path is also the basis for the act or the entry of going, that is, the action. In that, there are only three kinds of acts of going: those that have ceased and passed, those that have not arisen and not passed, and those that have arisen but not ceased, the path being traversed.
