Just from the appearance of arising, in order not to interrupt the conventional customs, it is established as dependently arising in the conventional. As the teacher said: Suffering is made by me, Made by others and made by both, To imagine without cause is a fallacy, You allow dependent arising. Thus it is said. Some Tibetans say that the sprout arises on all four sides, which is not reasonable in either of the two truths, and only the arising must be admitted, so the doubt of arising is not determined on all four sides. This statement is a statement that does not distinguish between the occasion of establishing the ultimate truth and the occasion of establishing the conventional truth. Secondly, there are two types of refuting other-arising in particular: refuting other-arising that is famous in the scriptures, and refuting other-arising that is famous in the world. The first has two parts: stating the view and explaining the refutation. The former is that yogis also use the difference of wisdom, and the higher ones harm the higher ones. In this way, the views of other schools have also been refuted by those in their own school who say that there are things, and considering that they have been interspersed and refuted in other occasions, it is enough, so it is not said here. Here, one's own school says that it is clever to block arising from the three sides, but it is very unwise to block arising from others. The Blessed One himself said in the Sutra of the Dharma Treasury that there are four conditions that cause the objects of the fruit to arise, which are transformed from outside the fruit. That is, the causal condition that becomes the nature of the fruit, such as the seed of the sprout, the cause of eye consciousness, the seed existing in the alaya consciousness, etc.; and the object that arises from what is focused on, producing the nature of mind and mental factors, the object condition; and the immediate condition that the cause has just ceased and opens the way for the later fruit; and if there is something outside the three conditions, it should also be like the previous ones, an enhancing condition that helps the fruit. The independent and other things that are not included in these four are not conditions, so the fifth condition does not exist. The condition mentioned here is not only the condition that separates cause and condition, but all causes are summarized into four conditions. As it is said in the Tattvasiddhi Shastra: Cause is called

There are five causes. (Tibetan: རྒྱུ་ལྔ་ཡིན།) Mind and mental events are born. Not the last, equal, immediately after that. (Tibetan: ཐ་མ་མིན་མཚུངས་དེ་མ་ཐག) All objects of focus, all phenomena. (Tibetan: དམིགས་པ་ཆོས་རྣམས་ཐམས་ཅད་དེ།) It is said that the acting cause is the master. (Tibetan: བྱེད་རྒྱུ་ཞེས་བྱ་བདག་པོར་བཤད།) As it is said. Therefore, it is said that all external and internal things are born from four conditions that have changed. The second has four: refuting that the meaning of the condition arises from another, refuting that the meaning of the action arises from another, generally refuting the definition of cause and condition, and specifically refuting the individual definitions of the four conditions. The first is: as explained in the commentary, if it exists before birth, as explained in the seventh chapter by time, then the nature of the fruit, such as sprouts, is the subject of the proposition. Conditions, etc., that is, the cause, the seed, and the conditions, such as water and fertilizer, are not existent when they are separate and combined, because they are not born. Therefore, if the dharma of the condition is not merely the entity of the fruit, how can the conditions become other entities? Because there is no basis for dependence. For example, just as there is no short without long, and no this shore without the other shore. As explained in the root text, with things explaining the seventh chapter, then the nature of the fruit, such as sprouts, is the subject of the proposition. Conditions, etc., that is, the causes and conditions separately and combined, or even something else, are not existent like birch on a wooden bowl, because they are invisible to them. Therefore, if the entity of the fruit does not exist in the conditions, etc., how can it arise and be born from other things such as conditions? Just like oil cannot be extracted from sand. On this, Master Lekdenjye said that the first half refutes self-arising, and the second half refutes other-arising, which is inconsistent with the previous view, and is also unrelated to the meaning of the phrase "if the entity of self does not exist." Second, if the Vaibhashikas think that it does not arise from the changed condition itself, but rather arises from the meaning of the action accomplished by the condition, then does the action arise from having cause and condition or not having cause and condition? If it is the former, then the entity of the fruit is the subject of the proposition, it does not arise from the action having cause and condition, because the action is meaningless when you are born.
