skandha(藏文:སྐནྡྷ།,梵文天城体:स्कन्ध,梵文罗马拟音:skandha,汉语字面意思:蕴)这个词有极度增长的痛苦和承担两种含义。 界的词义是,dhātu(藏文:དྷཱ་ཏུ།,梵文天城体:धातु,梵文罗马拟音:dhātu,汉语字面意思:界)这个词,有种姓、界、因等多种含义,因此种姓的意义是界的意义,如一个相续中有十八种种姓,称为十八界。

Therefore. Sixth, regarding the meaning of words. The meaning of "skandha" (aggregate) is the accumulation of many. As stated in the sutra: "Whatever form there may be, whether past, future, or present, internal or external, coarse or subtle, inferior or excellent, far or near, whatever exists is gathered together and counted as the aggregate of form." This is why it is said. The Sautrantikas hold that the meaning of "skandha" is the accumulation of many, therefore the aggregates are nominally existent, because they are the collection of many substances, like a person. So it is said. The Vaibhashikas say: "That is not so, because even a single atom of substance that is part of an aggregate must be accepted as an aggregate." So they say. To this, the Sautrantikas say: "That is not reasonable, because a single atom has no meaning of accumulation." So it is said. In the Compendium, the way of explaining the meaning of "skandha" as accumulation is the same as before. The word skandha (སྐནྡྷ།, स्कन्ध, skandha, aggregate) has two meanings: the extreme increase of suffering and bearing a burden. Because of the extreme increase of suffering, it is an aggregate, like a pile of firewood. Because it bears the burden of afflictions, it is an aggregate, like carrying a burden on the shoulders. So it is said. However, in the commentary on the Abhidharmakosha, the meaning of "skandha" as bearing a burden on the shoulders, and explaining it as the meaning of complete exposition, contradicts the meaning of accumulation explained in the sutra, therefore it is unreasonable. Thus it is refuted. The meaning of "dhatu" (element) is that the word dhātu (དྷཱ་ཏུ།, धातु, dhātu, element) has many meanings such as lineage, element, cause, etc., therefore the meaning of lineage is the meaning of element, such as the eighteen lineages in one continuum, which are called the eighteen elements. Similarly, the meaning of cause is the meaning of element, because it is the co-operative cause. The meaning of holding near use is the meaning of element, as has been said before. In the Compendium, it is explained as four meanings: the meaning of seed, the meaning of holding its own characteristic, the meaning of holding the objects of cause and effect, and the meaning of gathering and holding all aspects of phenomena. The meaning of "ayatana" (source) is the door through which mind and mental factors arise, because it causes mind and mental factors to arise for the first time, and after arising, it increases and expands. Seventh, will become grasping.

Regarding the principle of appropriation. Why are the contaminated aggregates called "aggregates of appropriation"? The Treasury of Knowledge states: "Appropriation is the general name for afflictions, and because they arise from afflictions, they are called aggregates of appropriation, just as fire arising from grass is called fire of grass." Because they are dependent on it, they are called aggregates of appropriation, just as a person dependent on a king is called a person of the king. Also, because appropriation arises from them, they are called aggregates of appropriation, just as a tree that produces flowers and fruits is called a tree of flowers and fruits. The Compendium of Topics states: "Appropriation refers to desire and attachment, and because they possess these, they are called aggregates of appropriation." These two are called appropriation because desire causes future aggregates to manifest, and attachment causes present aggregates not to be abandoned. The principle of establishing contaminated realms as realms of appropriation and contaminated sources as sources of appropriation should also be understood as before. Eighth, regarding the doubts about aggregates: Why are other mental factors included in the aggregate of formations, while the aggregates of feeling and perception are established separately? The Treasury of Knowledge states: "Because feeling and perception are the root of disputes, the cause of cyclic existence, and the cause of the accomplishment of the order of the five aggregates, they are established separately." The root of disputes is: strong attachment to desire and strong attachment to views. Due to experiencing the taste of feeling, there is strong attachment to desire, and due to inverted perception, there is strong attachment to views, and due to the influence of these two, one transmigrates in cyclic existence. Then, why are unconditioned phenomena established in sources and realms, and not in aggregates? Because they are not the nature of form up to consciousness, they are not suitable as the meaning of aggregates, the meaning of aggregates is the accumulation of many. Ninth, regarding the doubts about sources: Since all ten material sources are form, why is only the object of the eye established as the source of form? Since everything is dharma, why is only the object of the mind established as the source of dharma? The Treasury of Knowledge states:
