Because it is definitely its nature. So, where is it acknowledged, like the impermanence of blue phenomena? The Vaibhashikas acknowledge other substances besides blue, and the Sutra and Mind-only schools acknowledge it as a fabricated phenomenon. However, the Sautrantikas, who are proponents of valid cognition, consider the impermanence of blue phenomena that actually exists to be the nature of blue itself, and the impermanence of the negation aspect to be a general characteristic, so they do not acknowledge it as a fabricated phenomenon, which is the difference. If the Mind-only school, which is a proponent of valid cognition, thinks that the nature of the emptiness of the apprehended and the apprehender is established as a substance, and does not want the substance of any object of knowledge, so it acknowledges it as non-associated formation, then it is not so. Because the Dharmadhatu is unconditioned, and if it is non-associated formation, then it must be acknowledged as a conditioned phenomenon belonging to the aggregates. Second, the aggregate of consciousness is explained in detail in two ways: briefly explaining from the perspective of names, and explaining the meaning of each name separately. The first is: In the scriptures, it says: mind, intellect, and consciousness. Regarding the meaning of what appears, the Guhyartha says: In the Hearer Vehicle, all three are names for the six consciousnesses, and from the distinction of etymology, because of distinguishing or accumulating, it is mind; because of knowing, it is intellect; because of distinguishing, it is consciousness. From the distinction of time, the future is mind, the past is intellect, and the present is consciousness. From the distinction of teaching methods, when teaching the elements, it is called the seven mind elements; when teaching the sources, it is called the intellect source; when teaching the aggregates, it is called the consciousness aggregate. From the difference of actions, as it says in the Taming the Mind: The mind that travels far and alone, is difficult to tame, the tamer. Like this, because it travels far, it is mind; as it says, "Intellect goes before all phenomena," because it goes before, it is intellect; as it says, "Consciousness arises from the condition of formation," because it connects the continuum, it is consciousness. The Mahayana divides it into names that do not rely on the main entity and names that rely on the main entity. The first is that all three are names for all eight consciousness aggregates, like this, the so-called mind is mind because of accumulating habitual tendencies; it is mind because of contemplating the meaning; it is called mind because of knowing various objects, the first is the Alaya.

Secondly, the afflicted mind (nyon yid). Thirdly, the enumeration of the six consciousnesses (tshogs drug). Mind (yid) is called mind because it acts as the immediately preceding support, and because it understands its own object. It is a name for all eight consciousnesses. Consciousness (rnam par shes pa) is called consciousness because it cognizes individual objects, and it is a name for all eight consciousnesses. Secondly, the meaning of the enumeration based on the primary factor is: Mind (sems) is the ālaya (kun gzhi), because it accumulates karmic imprints, and because it is diverse, and because it focuses on objects. Because it is called mind, all three of these are complete only in the ālaya, and not in others. Although the afflicted mind has the mind that focuses on objects, it does not have diversity and the accumulation of karmic imprints. Although the six consciousnesses have diversity and the mind that focuses on objects, they do not have the accumulation of karmic imprints. Mind (yid) is the afflicted mind, because it always conceives of itself as "I," it is called mind, and this exists only in the afflicted mind, and not in others. The ālaya and the five sense consciousnesses do not even have the conception of "I." Although the mind consciousness has the conception of "I," it does not always conceive of itself as "I." Consciousness (rnam par shes pa) is the six consciousnesses, because it clearly cognizes various objects, it is called consciousness, and this exists only in the six consciousnesses, and not in others. Although the ālaya cognizes various objects, it is not clear. Although the afflicted mind cognizes clearly, it does not have various objects. Therefore, here, the meaning of the enumeration based on the primary factor should be understood. Secondly, there are three explanations of the meaning of the enumeration separately: explaining the mind, the ālaya; explaining the afflicted mind; explaining the consciousness, the six consciousnesses. First, the summary of the ālaya is: nature, characteristic, object, aspect, associated, co-emergent, difference, enumeration, term, meaning, and proof, are well explained through eleven aspects. As it is said, there are eleven aspects. First, the nature is: in the scriptures, there are four dharmas: virtuous, non-virtuous, obscured and unspecified, and unobscured and unspecified. This belongs to the unobscured and unspecified. As the Thirty Verses says: "It is unobscured by the disturbing influence of the near afflictions that are adventitious." Unspecified means unspecified as virtuous or non-virtuous. Second, the chara
