I, although it is thought that all six others are complete, it is difficult to complete both restoring what is broken and liberating the profound, and the other four are definitely complete. The cause for composing the seventh is that the wisdom and compassion that understand the meaning of the words without reversing them are the main cause. Or, from the point of view of determining and collecting, if the previous teachers had the four qualities of not being superior to others, not proclaiming their own fame, loving those who share the Dharma, and having compassion for sentient beings, then, as it is said, they could compose treatises. Fourth, the explanation of the necessity of a named text is: Without completely distinguishing the dharmas, there is no way to pacify the afflictions. Because afflictions also cause the world to wander in this ocean of samsara. Therefore, for this reason, the teacher spoke this. This is how it is shown. Here, there are two ways to identify the four dharmas such as necessity, and how the text shows it. The first is that the main subject matter is the training in higher wisdom, because all the Abhidharma pitaka show the training in higher wisdom as the main subject matter. Other dharmas with and without outflows are only what is said, because in order to determine the training in higher wisdom, it is necessary to determine its object, so through its means it becomes what is said. The necessity is the wisdom of completely distinguishing dharmas that arises from relying on this treatise. The ultimate necessity is the nirvana of abandoning the afflictions of wisdom without outflows by relying on the practice of the wisdom of completely distinguishing dharmas. The relationship is the same as the common one. The second is that the subject matter is directly shown by "dharmas," and the main subject matter is shown by implication. The necessity is shown by "completely distinguishing" and "therefore," because it is shown that this was composed in order to generate the wisdom of completely distinguishing dharmas. The ultimate necessity is shown from "without" to "therefore," because in reality, without the wisdom of completely distinguishing dharmas, there is no way to abandon afflictions. It is shown that if afflictions are not abandoned, one will wander in samsara, thus implying that by relying on the wisdom of completely distinguishing dharmas, one will obtain nirvana by abandoning afflictions and samsara. The relationship is, no

It is indicated by "...in the way that," showing that if there is no actual need, the fundamental need will not arise, thus implicitly showing that the treatises, the content to be expressed, the necessity, and the fundamental needs arise one after the other, based on the former. Fifth, regarding the general structure of treatises with necessity, there are two aspects: the definite number of eight "places" and the definite order. In the first part, early scholars determined the "places" of the Abhidharmakośa to be eight, because for a person seeking liberation, the conditions are determined as the object of focus, the practice of cultivation, and the fruit of cultivation. To explain these, no more than eight "places" are needed, and less than eight would not be comprehensive. For the conditions of an individual, these three aspects are definite, because if the object of focus is not indicated, one cannot practice; if one does not practice, one cannot obtain the fruit; if there is no fruit, there is no need to practice. How are these three aspects explained by the eight "places"? The object of focus is divided into "how many" and "how it is." The first is the aggregates, elements, and sources, which are explained by the first "place." Among them, within the category of conditioned dharmas, and the ways in which they arise, are explained by the second "place." "How it is" refers to the Four Noble Truths. Among them, the Truth of Suffering includes the birth of sentient beings and the places of birth, so it is explained by the third "place." The Truth of Origin is contaminated karma and afflictions, so it is explained by the fourth and fifth "places." The Truth of Cessation and the Truth of the Path are examined separately, so what is the Truth of Cessation? It is explained by "the Truth of the Path of Non-Contamination." Alternatively, the Truth of Cessation is the complete understanding at the end of the detailed analysis, and the Truth of the Path is explained by the two, the Truth of Seeing and the Truth of Cultivation, from "Seeing the Truth and Cultivating." All Four Truths can also be summarized and explained by the phrase "its Truth." The practice of cultivation is explained by the sixth "place" in the way of "abiding in discipline, accompanied by listening and thinking, diligently applying oneself to meditation." The fruit of uncontaminated wisdom is explained by the seventh "place." Some differences in qualities are explained by the eighth "place," so they believe. Gangchen said, "Contaminated and uncontaminated dharmas," in this way, the main content to be expressed here is the two dharmas of contaminated and uncontaminated, and for those seeking liberation, the main content to be adopted and abandoned is: to abandon.
