It is like the cause of Vipāka. The characteristic of the sixth is: it produces the main part of its own fruit, the aggregate of Vipāka. Its referent is only non-virtue and contaminated virtue, not indeterminate, because of its weak power, like a rotten seed. It is not uncontaminated, because it is free from the moisture of craving, like a seed free from moisture. In the context of "Conditioned and detached are fruits," there are four aspects of the fruit: its characteristic, its divisions, its referent, and the debate and answers arising from it. The first is: that which is to be produced or obtained by a cause. The second is: there are five, namely, Vipāka fruit, Sadrishaphala fruit, Visamyogaphala fruit, Purushakara fruit, Adhipati fruit, and Adhipatiphala fruit. Which of these fruits are the fruits of which of the six causes, and their respective entities, are clearly explained in the texts. The third is: all conditioned phenomena and individual selective cessation. The fourth is: all three unconditioned phenomena are fruits that are separate from causes, but unconditioned phenomena do not have causes and fruits, because they cannot have six causes and five fruits. If it is said that even if there are no other five causes, why is there no Adhipati cause? That is also not the case, because the meaning of Adhipati cause is: it does not hinder the arising of other phenomena, but unconditioned phenomena do not arise, therefore there is no Adhipati cause. Therefore, the truth of the path is also not the Adhipati cause of detachment. If asked: then how should the fruit of the path of detachment be established? Answer: It is obtained by the power of the path. If asked: then will it become the cause of obtaining? Answer: The abilities are different, what is obtained by the path is produced, while detachment is obtained. Even if there are no other four fruits, why is there no Adhipatiphala fruit? If it is said that unconditioned phenomena will become the Adhipati cause of other phenomena, and it has been said that the Adhipatiphala fruit is the first, so there should be Adhipatiphala fruit. Answer: Even if it becomes the cause of other phenomena, there is no this fruit, because it is not included by time, so it is liberated from holding and giving fruits. Therefore, "Not previously existing, conditioned is, Conditioned alone is the Adhipatiphala fruit" is also well established. In short, according to this system, if you are the cause of that phenomenon, then that phenomenon is not your fruit, this is not established. If you are the cause, then you have no fruit, this is also not established. You are the fruit of that phenomenon.

If the earth is the cause, then the Dharma is not your cause but the effect, and if you are the effect, then you have no cause but are the effect. Not accepting these four pervasions is the key point. Here, the Sutra School cites many scriptural and logical proofs that the unconditioned is not a cause, is not real, and is not a real thing, and the Vaibhashikas' refutations of the opposite of this should be viewed in the commentary. In the context of "desire, intention, virtue, and non-virtue," dividing the mind that becomes the immediate cause into twelve, dividing it into eight times or stages, and exemplifying one way of change, among these three, first, in general, the mind is divided into four of the desire realm, three each of the upper two realms, and two of the uncontaminated, a total of twelve, which is clear in the treatise. Second, eight times or stages should be known, namely: the dissimilar arising from the previous similar is the time of continuity; different classes of the same ground also arise, which is the time of similarity; dying from the mind of the three realms, but only the afflicted mind arises, which is the time of rebirth; with the virtue of any of the three realms, combining with the contaminated and uncontaminated samadhi, is the time of entering samadhi; when arising from that samadhi, any of the previous three virtues arise, which is the time of arising from samadhi; when meditating on the samadhi of the upper ground, if it turns into affliction, thinking: from this, the virtue of the lower ground is also better, the affliction of the upper ground is not good, so initiating the virtue of the lower ground, abiding in the virtue of the lower ground, is the time when afflicted by samadhi affliction; in the contaminated virtue, the emanated mind of the desire realm and form realm arises, which is uncharacterized, is the time of entering emanation; when arising from these minds of emanation, only the virtue of the form realm arises, which is the time of arising from emanation. Third, from the virtuous mind of the desire realm, nine minds ultimately arise, namely: the time of continuity is the virtue of one's own ground, the time of similarity is the other four of one's own ground, the time of rebirth is the two obscurations of the upper two realms, and the combination of virtue arises, the time of entering samadhi produces the virtue of the form realm and the two uncontaminated. The two non-obscurations of the upper realm do not arise because none of the eight times are complete. Entering samadhi.
