The ground is the collection of time and non-time. Second, regarding the basis of conduct residing in other grounds, there are two: three types of abandoning conduct, three types of joyful conduct, totaling six; three types of abandoning accompanied, three types of joyful accompanied, totaling six; giving precepts and seeking self-nature, two; four types of defamation, etc.; seven types of expulsion, totaling twenty-five. In summary, there are three: The abandoning residing in other grounds is the seven types of expulsion, because they are abandoned by Dharma and wealth. The basis of reprehensible residing in other grounds is the four types of defamation, etc. The completely pure residing in other grounds is the six types of abandoning conduct and joyful conduct, the six types of abandoning accompanied and joyful accompanied, giving precepts, and seeking self-nature, totaling fourteen. Alternatively, the summary is two: the great and the small residing in other grounds. The small is seventeen: the seven types of expulsion, the four types of defamation, etc., the six types of abandoning accompanied and joyful accompanied, these are the small. The great is eight: the six types of abandoning conduct and joyful conduct, giving precepts, and seeking self-nature, totaling eight. The seventeen small ones are sufficient to abandon special conduct, and there is no need to accept inferior conduct. The five special conducts are like the place of the teacher, equal conduct, forceful actions on self-abiding, arrogance and pride, and abandoning the cause of transgression. Among them, abandoning conduct like the place of the teacher is from the basis of ordination until not reciting the sutras. Not accepting requests and statements is explained in the supplementary explanation. Abandoning equal conduct is not doing prostrations and standing up, etc. Abandoning forceful actions is not talking about monks with faults, etc. These seventeen small ones also need to be abandoned, while the great ones, on top of these, add five such as getting up early in the morning to open the door. Are these pervaded by force or not? That which is both residing in other grounds and forceful is the seven types of expulsion, the four types of defamation, etc., totaling eleven, because it is done unwillingly. That which is forceful but not residing in other grounds is stopping the Uposatha and stopping the Pravāraṇā. That which is residing in other grounds but

Those that are not firm are six kinds of moving enjoyment and joyful enjoyment, six kinds of possessing movement and possessing joy, giving precepts and seeking self-nature, totaling fourteen. These are done according to one's own pleasure. That which is neither of the two is like abiding in self-nature. Thus, there are four possibilities. Secondly, to remedy those who are unwilling by persuading and encouraging them is the basis of complete purification, and there are eight aspects to this: with what things to persuade, to what place, by whom, with what intention, at what time and place, with what rituals, for what purpose, and how to accomplish after persuading. The first aspect has four: discipline, rituals, livelihood, and decline of views. These are all persuaded based on the root. There are six places to persuade: possessing the vows of full ordination, not having been expelled from the monastery, not having gone to other sects, not being sick, abiding in self-nature, and not being malicious. There are seven people who can persuade: possessing pure vows of full ordination, and this is also allowed for those living in other places. Not having gone to other sects, not having been expelled from the monastery, not being sick, possessing male characteristics, and being able to understand the self-nature of what has been done and what should be done. With what intention to persuade is to first send forth love and compassion, and then consider whether the place, time, object of persuasion, persuader, etc., are qualified. There are two rituals to persuade with: the ritual of the persuader and the ritual of the persuaded. There are two rituals for the persuader: to discern, such as "Venerable one, I speak knowingly, not unknowingly," and to introduce the occasion for discernment. There are three for the persuaded: to discern the object of persuasion, the persuader, and whether the place, time, etc., are qualified. If qualified, joy is generated, and discernment is made. If not qualified, discernment is not made. There are three times and places: not in the summer, not related, and not where many people gather. The purpose is to make people rise from their downfall. There are two ways to accomplish after persuading: if they come truthfully, it becomes the cause of the basis for remedy. If they do not come truthfully, there are two:
