are castes and categories. These are the verses that summarize them. As it is said, such as impure conduct, which relies on sentient beings, and digging the earth, touching fire, etc., which rely on non-sentient beings, there are two types. Among those that arise relying on sentient beings, such as impure conduct of emitting semen, which arises relying on general sentient beings, and lying about human Dharma masters, etc., which arises relying on individuals, there are two types. Among those that arise relying on non-sentient beings, those that arise relying on the elements include digging the earth, touching fire, the downfall of playing in water, and the gross offenses and misdeeds of dwelling in pasture or non-pasture. Among those that arise relying on the future, there are those that arise relying on the nature of the cause being faulty, and those that arise relying on something other than that. The first is the downfalls of slander, etc. Among those that arise relying on something other than that, there are those that arise relying on wealth and possessions, and those that arise relying on something other than that. The first is the abandonment of touching gold and silver, etc. The second is the downfalls that arise relying on the four necessities of food, clothing, shelter, and bedding, etc. In terms of the agent, there are those with their own sole agent, and those with an agent who completes the task even when entrusted. The first is, such as the defeat of impure conduct and lying. The second is, such as the defeat of killing and taking what is not given. The gate through which downfalls arise is the actual act of generating body and speech. In terms of action, there are downfalls without application because the cause of action is not done, and there are two types of downfalls with application because the cause of non-action is done. The first is like holding and abandoning. The second is killing, taking what is not given, and so on. There are four causes for the arising of downfalls: ignorance and carelessness, many afflictions and disrespect. Thus it is said. There are also four occasions for the arising of downfalls: generating the mind, the application of application, application, and the actual act. From the perspective of essence, there are two types: related to nature and related to precepts. The first is killing, etc., which is completely instigated by the three poisons and prohibited without a specific basis. The second is that it can arise even without an intention that is afflicted.

It has the effect of a downfall like an afternoon meal. There are two types of downfalls: those related to permission with limitations and those related to non-permission with limitations. Alternatively, there are two types: those that can be abandoned and those that cannot. Or, there are two types: those that are object-oriented and those that are concept-oriented. If summarized from the perspective of categories, they are included in the five categories such as the Parajika category. Third, the determination of number: it is determined as five based on the five different distinctions of the fundamental precepts. Alternatively, it is determined as five because there are five different functions. Fourth, the determination of order: In general, the order of the five categories is the order of weight. The order of the four Parajikas is the order of occurrence and enactment. The order of the remaining four categories is also the order of deliberate arrangement. Fifth, the meaning of the name: Why is it called Parajika? Because it causes the son of the holy Dharma to degenerate, causes afflictions to be victorious, and causes antidotes to fail, therefore it is Parajika. Because it can be restored by relying on the special karma of the Sangha, it has the meaning of remaining, therefore it is Sanghavasesa. Because it is necessary to first abandon and separate from that object for one day, it is Nissaggiya Pacittiya. If one does not confess, one will fall into the lower realms, therefore it is Pacittiya. Because confession is named as confession, and one must confess individually, it is Patidesaniya. Because one must learn and become accustomed to what does not occur, it is Sekhiya and Dukkritta. Sixth, the definition of downfall is divided into the general definition of downfall and the individual definitions of the five categories. The first is: the transgression of what is prescribed by the self-born teacher is unforgivable. The second is: the definition of Parajika is that it belongs to the fundamental downfall of the Bhikkhu's vows, which is the kind that depends on your cutting off pure learning. In the "Radiant Sutra," it is said, "He will be destroyed," which means that a novice also has Parajika, which is said because it is the same as Parajika in function. What is similar to Sanghavasesa? In essence, it is the kind that can be requested from you. Or, in essence, it is the kind that is lighter than Parajika and heavier than Nissaggiya Pacittiya, etc. The following should also be inferred from this. Some people think that the definition of Parajika is: it contradicts the Bhikkhu's vows, and in essence is more than Sanghavasesa.
