Having done the fifth minor section, make it two and a half folios. "bkru'o" etc. are the same as above. Secondly, the blessing of clothes for necessary items is that even white, patterned, and exquisite items that are one cubit or more in length are blessed. The method of blessing it is: the preliminary and conclusion are the same as above. The main part is to think, "I will transform this object that cannot be enjoyed by consciousness into an object that can be enjoyed equally by myself and my companions." After thinking this, say, "Venerable monks, please listen! I, a monk named so-and-so, will bless this garment as a necessary item to be used equally by myself and my companions. I will act according to the circumstances." Say this three times. Thirdly, the blessing of extra clothing is for those who are uncomfortable, have many lice and fleas, live in a bad place, have a lot of sweat and body odor, receive little, have passed away from the heavens, and have little desire for clothing and food. Because these seven are given a second set of necessities, the method of blessing is: the preliminary and conclusion are the same as above. For the main part, think, "This garment belongs to the abbot or teacher." Thinking this, in front of someone who is not the abbot or teacher, say, "Venerable monks, please listen! I, a monk named so-and-so, will make this remaining, unprocessed garment, which is suitable for processing, suitable as belonging to the abbot. I will trust the abbot and hold it. I will act according to the circumstances." Say this three times. Fourthly, small items are: small necessities of life such as needle cases, hats, belts, water filters, face cloths that are not of sufficient size, cushions, shoes, foot bindings, shoe covers, shoe buckles, containers for scissors, containers for alms bowls, covers for alms bowls, etc., all of which are of appropriate size. The method of blessing them is: "Venerable monks, please listen! I, a monk named so-and-so, will bless this garment as a needle case." Say this three times. The preliminary and conclusion are the same as above. Other items such as hats are the same, but the name is changed. For rags that are not of sufficient size, there is no need for a verbal blessing.

Oh. It is sufficient to generate the mind once with one's own name. For extra items, such as small pieces of cloth, alms bowls, etc., similar things, and necessary items, such as cloth smaller than one cubit, it is sufficient to bless them by generating the mind with one's own name. These are to bless the actual meaning of the items. Incidentally, the method of removing these blessings is: When removing the blessing of a cloth for living utensils, think that it has already appeared, or even if it has not appeared, it is still in your hand, the same as the beginning and end of the blessing. Main part: Venerable ones, please listen. I, a monk named so-and-so, have made this Dharma robe suitable for use, so I have blessed this Dharma robe as a sanghati. Therefore, I will take this object back, say this three times. The upper robe and lower skirt are the same, just change the name. There is no ritual for removing the blessing of extra items. When removing the blessing of a small piece of cloth for living utensils, such as an alms bowl that reaches the size, venerable ones, please listen. I, a monk named so-and-so, have blessed this cloth as an alms bowl. Therefore, I will take this object back, say this three times. For those that do not reach the size, it is sufficient to generate the mind to remove this blessing. Small pieces of cloth for extra items can also be removed by generating the mind. Small pieces of cloth for necessary items do not need to be removed. Third, most of what is not suitable is the basis of leather. In border areas, it is permissible for five monks to receive full ordination, as well as hats, leather shoes, all leather products, and leather strap shoes, but they are prohibited in the central region. The difference between the central and border areas is distinguished by Dharma and by land, here referring to the latter. From Magadha Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya) east to where the Likara tree grows, south to Lotus City, west to the village of Kava near the Brahmin Kava, and north to the area between the Dark Mountain is the central region, and its periphery is the border area. Types of leather products, such as lions, tigers, bears, etc., are also prohibited even in border areas. But for the sick, hats and leather shoes are allowed.
