also not established, nor is it accepted. The second case is: sound, dharma, should be unconditioned, because it is permanent. The third case is: sound, dharma, should be permanent, because it is measurable. The fourth case has four types: both are valid means of knowledge, both are accepted, the reason is a valid means of knowledge, the pervasion is accepted, the reason is accepted, and the pervasion is established by a valid means of knowledge. The first case is: in the presence of Buddhists, sound, dharma, should be impermanent, because it is produced. This is like admitting the opponent's point of view, so it is seemingly correct. For those who admit that sound is permanent, the refutation is: both the reason and the pervasion are valid means of knowledge, and for the proposition, there will be a violation of acceptance, which is a correct refutation, there are two cases. The second case is: sound is the object of eye consciousness, and sound is permanent and pervades the object of eye consciousness. For those who say this view, sound, dharma, should be permanent, because it is the object of eye consciousness. If sound has been determined to be impermanent by a valid means of knowledge, then for the proposition, there will be a violation of the valid means of knowledge; if only what has not been determined by a valid means of knowledge is accepted, then there will be a violation of acceptance; if neither exists, then there will be no violation at all, there are three cases. The third case is: for those who say that whatever is produced is pervaded by permanence, sound, dharma, should be permanent, because it is produced. For this case, it will also be divided into three cases depending on whether there is a violation of the proposition or not. The fourth case is: for those who say that sound is permanent, sound, dharma, should not be produced, because it is permanent. For this case, it will also be divided into three cases as before depending on the difference of whether there is a violation or not. Second, from the perspective of being able to refute and not being able to refute, there are seven correct and seven seemingly correct. As it is said, among the fourteen refutations, neither the reason nor the pervasion is established, this is because neither is established. Only the reason is not established, this is because the reason is not established. Only the pervasion is not established, this is because the pervasion is not established. Both are valid means of knowledge, and there is no violation of the proposition; both are accepted, and there is no violation of the proposition; the reason is a valid means of knowledge and the pervasion is accepted, and there is no violation of the proposition; the reason is accepted and the pervasion is a valid means of knowledge, and there is no violation of the proposition, these four cases are because the opponent's point of view is admitted, so these seven are seemingly correct. Both are valid means of knowledge, but for the proposition, there will be a violation of acceptance; both are accepted, but for the admitted view, there will be two violations of valid means of knowledge and acceptance; the reason is a valid means of knowledge and the pervasion is accepted, but for the admitted view, there will be two violations of valid means of knowledge and acceptance; the reason is accepted and the pervasion is a valid means of knowledge,

For those who do not accept, there are two types of refutation: valid cognition and admitted refutation. The seventh is correct because it cannot be refuted by an answer. The third is as it is said, "Six and a half cannot throw, seven and a half can throw." As it is, both the reason and pervasion are valid cognitions. The consequence that includes the admitted refutation in the proposition, and the two consequences where the pervasion is valid cognition, the reason is admitted, and the admitted refutation is included in the proposition, do not throw the correct proof, because in the self-nature, the property of the subject is not established. The two correct consequences where both the reason and pervasion are established by admission, the reason is valid cognition, and the two correct consequences where the pervasion is established by admission, these four do not throw the correct proof, because in the self-nature, the pervasion of the former two is uncertain, and the pervasion of the latter two is contradictory. Therefore, for the seventh, like sound being admitted as permanent, the consequence where the subject is established by valid cognition throws the correct proof, like the permanent sound, like being admitted as permanent, the consequence where the subject is not established by valid cognition does not throw the correct proof, it is said. Second, refuting it, there are two types: refuting the four fundamental divisions, and refuting the fourteen branch divisions. The first is: Because it is also the same in self-nature, and because the reason is absent and the pervasion is contradictory, and because the determination of subsequent cutting is not possible, it is not reasonable to divide consequences into four. It is said that it is reasonable to divide the fundamental divisions of the self-nature reason into four, such as both the reason and pervasion not being established, because it is reasonable for the consequence to be like that. If it is thought that it is not reasonable to divide into four because the fundamental divisions of the self-nature reason are divided into two: correct and apparent, then it is the same that it is not reasonable to divide into four because the fundamental divisions of the consequence are also divided into two: correct and apparent. Also, it is not reasonable to place both the reason and pervasion not being established among the four fundamental divisions of the consequence, because if the reason is not established, then examining whether the pervasion is established or not is the behavior of a fool. If it is thought that even if the reason is not established, it is possible for the pervasion to be established, then it is not reasonable, because according to the determination of subsequent cutting, there is the fault of becoming endless, such as half of the reason not being established and half of the pervasion not being established.
